The man!!!!

FordRocks1

Recommended Posts

Well folks, finally got my signature of the man himself and with the matching number #405 and with

"GO NAVY".......this is as exciting as getting my SGT earlier this year.....It's like a piece of history...I opened it with my wife and we both don't know what to do with it....I don't want to put it in the car but if not what's the purpose of getting it? I would like to show folks the signature......decisions,decisions.......

What can be applied to preserve the signature so it won't fade or get rubbed off?

Christmas came early this year..... :happy feet: :happy feet:

FordRocks1,

How you did that?

Did you sent the dash part to Vegas and he signed it and SAI returned it to you? Or CS was in Florida recently?

I would like to buy a OEM Ford part as a spare part and have the other one signed by "The Man".

Thanks.

I just sent mine in and asked him if he could add the "#405" and "Go Navy part". Shoot, I wish he came down to Florida....I'd have all sorts of things signed off......

Sweet! I'll bet yours is the only one with "Go Navy"...

Congratulations! I want to do this too...

Hmmm... I wonder if he'd write "Go Marines"? :hysterical:

Dan

Dan,

CS will sign it if you ask....I have a guy around my area with a GT500 40th anniv. with "Semper Fi" on his dash.

I put my Garage remote on my visor so that it doesn't rub mine off with vibration. In your case I would keep the car out of the sun. Also like Art said don't spray a damn thing on that dash. :yup:

You see, that's where the problem comes in....I've decided to make my SGT into my DD and here in South Florida the sun is out 90% of the time...I have tinted windows, those might help a bit, however, just to have an extra line of protection I want to know what else can be done....NOTED!!!! I will not take my car to get detailed or spray anything on it....I am trying to get all my ducks in a row to make a huge purchase from CARSHOW....he's been very helpful and informative, I believe I can keep the car looking great with his products......

You can! Contact me.

Roger,

I hope that you don't mind but I use you and your car as a reason to buy things...Well, I blame it on you and I tell my wife that "Roger says that [whatever part] is a must" and most of the time she goes with it granted I keep my end of the bargain, to run with her,chores,movies....well you get the point. It all started with the red stripes, then a shorty antenna, and now the dash signed. Hmmmm...I wonder what I must do to get some CS69's..... :hysterical:

Anyone has the instructions to remove the Passenger Airbag cover in order for me to ship it?

OR

Anyone has the Ford Part # for the Passenger Airbag Cover with the Interior Upgrade Package Trim?

If i can get an extra part, then i would like to send this piece and keep it in a safe place and maybe just put the cover in my SGT for special event like car shows...

Thoughts?

What can be applied to preserve the signature so it won't fade or get rubbed off?

I think Carroll's signature in black sharpie will probably hold up fine under most conditions. I wouldn't put anything on it and I speak from experience. I bought an extra air bag cover and when the signed one came back I sprayed a few coats of Rustoleum Painters Touch Clear Matte Finish on over the signature to protect it. The finish has now broken down, cracked and spider webbed in several places and looks like crap. I too have the ribbed bright aluminum dash. I still display it loose at car shows, but I won't put it on my car permanently. A $400 mess up when you add the cost of the signature and the air bag cover. So..if anybody has any ideas on how to smooth out the finish without screwing up the signature I'd like to hear them.

Forgive me if this has been covered before, but how do you go about ordering his signature on the air bag cover?

Is there a link or phone number? How much does it cost?

There is a link on the home page...the cost depends what you send in for his foundation, well a children's fountaion which is a excellent cause....no number. good luck, PM me if you need any help.
