Retorqued my Corsa's today, figured maybe someone would like some pictures to get an idea of what the GT/GT500 kit looks like closeup in a real life scenario. The kit used on my GT is the same kit used for GT500's so gives you an idea of the look.

Original 5 spd manual GT muffler with polished, rolled tips:

I can't stop raving about these mufflers. SILENT, droneless sound when cruising or relaxing, but a mean, high end snarl when you get your foot into it. Perfect.

Very cool, Chris... and look like a really nice fitting kit.

Thanks for the pix...

Btw, nice ramps -- did you buy on the net?

.

Yeah, they're Dambachs. SO freaking awesome. LONG incline, so lowered cars are easy. Expensive but so worth it, not the cheap crap you find in town. 14" wide too so should handle the GT500's 285's no sweat. Mine are the ML66:

I think I bought curved ramps for my tractor from them a few years back -- great products. I had no idea they made those too -- thanks, Chris.

Chris -

Good gouge on the ramps - they are exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for the link.

Are the Corsas louder at idle than the OEM GT mufflers? My GT500 needs more rumble but I don't need the drone or too much noise. I was thinking of getting a set of the OEM GT mufflers for the GT500 because it's just TOO quiet. Looking for something in-between silent Sams and wide open exhaust.

I don't believe that the car you posted is your own, and the ramps are obviously a carefully constructed special effect you devised in photo-shop to give the perception to us all that you have ramps in your posession.

:bandance:

Stop living a lie man, it's shameless. :hysterical:

All kidding aside, nice looking exhaust I have some Borla Stingers on my 04 Cobra that I love, glad you found a good set for your car.

P.S. Nice color choice on the car, GT's look sweet in that color - what color is your interior?

They are different at idle, more throaty. But not louder. The only time they are louder is when you get on it.

Start-up, idle, reving all would be nice.

Alright, I'll get it done soon don't know about my today promise tho =)

Chris -

Thanks.

Holy Chit, man, I looked up the price for those things. $800 beans for glass-packs? You must be richer than me. What ever happened to $20 Thrushs? I got to sit down and catch my breath.

800$ where? I got mine here:

Still a ripoff yes, but I was really anti-drone and there was no other solution. An interesting thing about them is they retain the killer "sound" of the stock exhaust and improve it, more refined. They don't radically alter it to something different.

Evil -

The Corsa website had it for $789. I'd be happy with just polished tips and SS unpolished for the rest to save gas money.

Anyway, thanks for the link. Antidrone is good. Very good.

Yeah screw buying it from them haha. Maybe I should sell my stock mufflers to someone with a GT500? May be a little louder and you get the polished tips too.

EC: The sound is superb. I also found sound bites on this product by going to www.MossMustang.com and typing in the Part number 055-030. They have several different sound bites. They sell the product for $649.95 and ship it for free.

$559 on eBay with 29 buck shipping.

BTW...thanks Chris. Posted that earlier and it didn't "stick". I may swap my Ford Racing/Borlas.

Based on your sound clips, I went ahead and ordered a set today. Thanks for the clips.

NP. Should sound awesome on a GT500 if it does on a GT. Just remember they aren't "loud" like others. More of an extension of stock with no drone. Louder at WOT however. "Subtle" is the key word with these.

I saw your post, it's in the s197 forum =) I have two similar threads running since some GT users don't come here and GT500 users don't go there etc.
