That first vid sure sounds like it been converted to an automatic... like a Lentech AODE/4R70[75] or similar.

I've read properly prepped 70s handle 1000HP (with a streetable OD) and 1500HP (sinvle-shaft, no OD) and typically knock .3sec or so off the best stick times. I used to think a race prepped C4/C6 was pretty tough to beat, but the 4R70s are killing 'em now. (I've even seen companies marketing adapters for the Chevy smallblock <lol>).

I hear ya. I'm picturing in my new shelby,an alum. 5.4l ford gt block,reinforced internals with twin-turbos,hoping close too 1200hp! Thanks Chris,its all your fault for showin' me that very mean soundin' vid and car! Now you just cost me alot of mod money! :drool: lol!!!
