IASHELBYGT
http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=1604926931 Well I like his two color seats.
moabman
I sort of laugh (in the nicest of ways) about things like this because I'm sure that back in his early days of building racers, Carroll would have done exactly the same thing. I don't think he would care about a name, just the results!
RogerS
Good catch Dave. I did not know that they made that option. I think it was a change out. The 2 tone would be Dark charcoal inserts on the door pannels with the light dove seats but not 2 tone seats. That was an option for the California Special cars. On the Roush in a Shelby GT But you are 100% correct moabman.
ShelbyDude
Well they really screwed that headline up! Video of a SOLD 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 getting a Roush Performance kit installed at the Nemer Ford Service Center. That isn't a GT500. It's a SGT. That isn't even a 2008. That is a 2007 as all the 2008 models were vista blue other than the BJ cars and the grabber orange cars for the CA market.
William Rodgers
For the money Roush does not do it for me. I two-tone seats are different.
motorjock205
+1 for the Two Tone Seats...I like that Option +1 for the Supercharger -1 for it being a Roush -10 for the Dealer sticker on the trunk...YUK!!!
stump_breaker
Went to an auto show in Dallas and there was a Shelby (I can not for the life of me remember the car but it was a specialty car) with Roush parts. The owner said it was a factory install from Shelby. I had a hard time believing that.

LuLu
Roush is quality but putting that in a Shelby is almost as bad as putting a small block chevy in a AC Cobra. Wouldn't that be a Vega?
twobjshelbys
Wouldn't that be a Vega? Now be careful, I had a 1976 Vegamatic station wagon. It had the aluminum block with steel cylinder liners and we got something like 100K+ miles on it before we traded it in.

6-Speed
I don't see any problem with that. Roush played a big part in the development of the Eaton TVS SC that's being installed as part of the Shelby Super Snake conversion. The TVS carries a FRPP label and some GT500 owners are installing them to get big HP gains. Roush is also installing the same SC on their P-51A Mustang conversion, which uses a modified 4.6L modular; the SC carries a Roush label when installed in the P-51A. avidShelby
Been thinking about a ROUSHCharger also... Good increase in power to 445 HP; install looks easy enough for me to tackle at home; and it doesn't void my Ford 3/36 warranty. Oh yeah, looks like my strut brace will fit too! What's not to like...? Because it doesn't say "Shelby" on it? Jack Roush is a respected member of the Ford high performance pantheon and he got there based on solid results in racing and in retail sales. SGT/SC#0471
There is a white SGT in West Seattle with a Rousch emblem under the powered by ford emblem... about the engines, the street rod crowd sure likes to put small block chevys in fords... 08SGT1977
I personally would not do it but it is a viable option.
