gradona
If you are using the Dealer name and city to authenticate the owner it won't work. Since you posted the VIN I know where, when, and in what city it was purchased.

vipereatr
Am i in the dark...more explanation please. Well, since anybody can find out most information via the web (there is no more privacy ) - my local dealer had to remove the sticker from the original car for some reason. I was in Parts buying a new PCV hose (to install an air/oil separator on the passenger side hose - cut the new one keep the old stock one - driver's side is dry passenger side has oil in it) and front air dam (just in case and while they are available), got to talking with the dealership owner about Super Snakes, and he brought out the sticker. He thought it might have some collection value (I don't - except to the car's owner) and he gave it to me. So if I can locate the owner :bag: I will send it along . I might have to get clever about questions to ensure I've got the car's owner but even if it has some small value I will send it along to the owner. He/she has got to be a good guy B) , especially if a TS member.

I want a prize too !! I saw that too. His initials are JS and he bought a extended warranty. Wise man. I do not reconize the name...and don't believe in posting full names on the board. mjbarnet
Aa Yes, Isn't OASIS a wonderful tool :shades: So does OASIS tell you if there was any problem with your new car before you took delivery?
gradona
So does OASIS tell you if there was any problem with your new car before you took delivery? Only if the dealer documents it through the Ford warranty system. For instance, The wash boy might scratch the front fender and the dealer repairs it at his expense you will never be able to trace it. It has to be documented as a warranty repair to show up in the system. If you want to send me a PM with your VIN I can run it for you.

ShelbyDude
Now that is scary!! You ain't kidding! This freedom of information act has caused our local governments to get out of control with posting everyone's information online for anyone to acess. Just by messing around one time I searched some names of people I know. Within about 15 minutes I had copies of their driving record, copies of their mortgages, SS number, home address, real estate taxes, date of birth, etc. Their SS number was listed on their mortgage documents! So whenever you obtain a mortgage make SURE the dumb ass lender does NOT put your SS number on it! Most don't, but this particular bank was careless and did. All mortgages are recorded and everything that is recorded is public information that ANYONE can get and most counties now have access online to search their public records. While this can be a great tool to use for many reasons, it is a very dangerous thing that makes it a lot easier for identity theft!
