StrayShadow
Since there is no authorized Shelby mod shop remotely close to me, that is depressing seeing I want to SC it really bad, what other mods beside engine mods can I do to improve performance? I was looking into lightening the car up with an aluminum drive shaft. Any other suggestions? Sorry if discussed before! Kevin 07SGT2591
Reino
Swap your gears to 4.10's.....unless you still plan on a SC down the road at which time youd probably want to take the 4.10's out. And you could get your car either a canned tune or professional tune.
StrayShadow
I don't want to go with that high of a gear. Lightening up the car should add power. Has anyone installed the alum drive shaft? I have also seen an alum flywheel. Maybe I should have made the topic "loosing weight to add power"! Kevin 07SGT2591

69dejavue
be careful when ordering an aluminum drive shaft as there are at least two different types. One type bolts in completely stock. The others require resetting the ring and pinion gear clearances. would probably have to be taken to the dealer to be installed as you would not even want to drive it to the dealer with the wrong clearances. Headers for about 10 HP. FRPP, and other brands, cylinder heads for probably abpit 30 HP Street Cam for probably 15-20 more HP. Even more if used with the improved cylinder heads and headers. Comp cams has a new kit where you do not have to remove the valves, springs, and retainers. Best part is all of the above can be done without any additional strain on the engine. SC is probably still the best bang for the buck, and if done at SAI shop it would be included in the registry and hopefully improve value someday.
