Your "broken" GT40 wheels? How the !* did you break your wheels? (BTW, I feel you should be tarred and feathered for this)

I had nothing to do with it. One wheel used to leak air. I had that fixed at my exspense. Then one day I was about to park my car and saw a nut and broken end of a bolt on my garage floor. Turned out to be a wheel rivet from one of the wheels. I had the wheel looked at by the actual man who built the wheels. All of the hardware needed to be replaced. After being frustrated by American Racing for two months, I returned the wheels for a credit. Tar and feather if you must.

Sorry, I assumed your track time had gotten the best of them, I guess hearing this I'm glad I wasn't able to get them.

It could have been caused by track time but that would still point to a defective design. In reality it was probably a bolt that was over torqued, cracked and then rusted. But American Racin gpissed me off so that I didn't want their stuff on my car anymore.

I've put on a shorty antenna, colored mirror covers, chrome shifter ring, and chrome cupholder. Car came from factory with quarter window trim and lower grille with lights.

Future mods: Berg Shelby gas cap and shelby snake wheel caps.

Creature comforts mostly:

Electrochromic (self dimming) rear view mirror with HomeLink [car didn't come with garage door openers]

Ford sanctioned HD radio kit from Peripheral Electronics [Which needed a Y adapter cable to restore original radio connection. You can buy this at Best Buy]

Lower grille insert [i think someone at Ford is stealing all of them before the car ships.]

Some day when they become available, I'll add the Kenne Bell supercharger and gauge kit.

Maybe 20" black razors and Nittos.

That's BJ Shelby GT #1. #2 stays bone stock for now.
