So, I am down to two contenders for my WA Personal Plates.....

Gun Oil

If you have to ask, perhaps I am too smart for my own good....

#1

or

#2 which I came up with tonight

SRT8ETR.jpg

Which do you think will make the boldest statement????

I like UBNBITN because its more fitting for any car that you might blow away. You don't really wany to put that Dodge nameplate reference on your Ford but thats just me!!!

Not bad if your cars stock.

You will change it soon once you get caught in the upgrades :happy feet:

congrats on the car and plates...!!!

Only thing I am planning is the SLP Loud Mouth's, and they are a no HP gain item item.....Just want a little more grunt.

I tried every combo with Shelby in it that made any sense to me, as well as GT500....nothing that I would have been happy with was available....

I figure the 500HP makes a statement....maybe the Ricers will leave me alone, and stop making me waste gas destroying their Rickshaws! :hysterical:

NICE PLATE GUN OIL. I HAVE HAD SIMILAR PLATES IN THE PAST. LIKE 400PLUS AND I AM CURRENTLY USING 700PLUS ON MY HEAVILY MODED 08 GT500 VERT. ENJOY YOUR PLATE ; I KNOW I DO AND SO DO MANY OF THE PEOPLE THAT READ IT ON THE ROAD.

:happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:

I DO REALLY LIKE THE SRT8ETR ; I HAVE SPECIAL PLACE IN MY REAR VIEW MIRRIOR FOR THOSE SRT8 HORSEPOWER/MUSCLE CAR WANNABIES .

Gun, something to consider;

As you know up here in the Peoples Socialist Republic of Washington, law enforcement is heavily encouraging people to report their fellow Comrads to big brother for the slightest infraction. They do follow up on them too.

How do I know?

I had MUVOVER on my F-350 and it made it real easy for the Birkenstock wearing, Gagwire supporting, Subaru (with a rooftop Yule pak) driver going slower than the flow of traffic in the far left (how appropriate) lane to call and report me for riding their tail for 10 miles waiting for them to move right. Yes slow traffic should move right.

Got rid of the plate and the problem stopped (calls from WSP and Pierce Co. Sherriff with terse warnings and threats).

For what it is worth.......... :censored:

Probably a good idea to change the plate to 500HP if you don't plan on modding your car at all.

You'd have had a few modded SRT8's making the other tag look a bit silly LOL.

I know I need to get on my modding soon because me and the wifey took both cars out and my SRT8 kinda shamed the Shelby... and I just can't have that happen on the street! LOL!

Funny turn of events though... before I began modding my SRT8 I ran across an early Shelby on the road one day and he spanked me something shameful. It was then and there that I decided I wanted one.

:do what:

See Bandit, that is the problem with the Mopars....you HAVE TO mod it to keep up with a GT500..... :banvictory:

Leave your Station Wagon alone and be happy in 2nd or 3rd place. I think a good mod for that wagon would be wood vinyl side paneling! :hysterical:

I am not going to get into it with you like Cobra did.....but you sure love to find any way to put a Shelby down. Take off your mods, and your SRT8 is slower. Period. :yup:

Who knows....maybe my 500HP plate is bait for unsuspecting "moded" Mopars :chairshot: Just cause it sez 500HP....doesn't mean that is all there "might" be.

No kidding. I had an 06 Charger R/T with headers, tune, hi-flo cats and exhaust, CAI and it was NOTHING compared to my GT500. 310RWHP. I was on the verge of doing cam swap and P&P heads when I threw in the towel and got the Shelby.

Licence plate idea...

Nah, don't take it like that (and I'm glad you're not as serious/hysterical as our other friend)... I don't mind a little good natured ribbing about the SRT. Hey I know it's big and stupidly heavy... but it is a great car anyway.

As far as the tag goes... I'd feel the same about putting "Z06 killer" or "Vette Eater" or something like that... because you know at some point one will pop up that could really make a plate like that look silly. I never buy any car thinking it is the baddest thing on the road because the day I do, there he'll be... that guy in a 20 year old rusty wreck that probably cost him $2,000 but he could be running 9's at the track and make me look foolish. That's the great thing about cars... we all love them, and respect the powerful ones regardless of the badge on the fender.

Well you really cannot compare an R/T to an SRT8. That's like comparing a Mustang GT to our GT500's. As an aside, the cats and CAI actually have almost no effect on the 5.7 engine, so the only thing that boosted your performance was the tune (depending on WHAT tune) and headers.

Yeah i hear ya....That what happened to me when that guy in CLS 63 AMG with a gal next to him showed me his rear end all of the 3 pulls we had on Woodward the other day...I had problem with wheel hop where i could not put the power down but also the gear ratio was a factor...our sweet spot is 3d gear and you cannot get to test that on a road from traffic light to traffic light....

Same here, I am still learning how to launch this thing, it is a bit tricky but I feel I am getting the hang of it. I have always had high horsepower cars, and each can have their little quirks on launches.. this one has a fairly steep learning curve. At least with the stock suspension/tires.
