Well, this is kinda cool! Check it out here: Hydrogen Shelby Cobra

If it runs as well as they imply -- sign me up! ...well, not for $149K, but Ford has the technology, and Shelby's engine builder in Gardenia is the same place doing their gas 427 and 514cid FE Cobra motors, all alloy, 6-bolt beefed-up side-oilers too -- and now a hydrogen version too!

Just curious, if Ford did a hydrogen motor (like this or the the tri-flex from the Super-Chief concept truck) for the Mustang, would you buy one (not in place of GT500 necessarily, but) maybe as a commuter -- assuming hydrogen is more available eventually.

<And check out the date at the bottom of that page!>

Looks like it was written a couple of years back. I wonder how far they've come since then?

Yeah, especialy since Ford just showed the tri-flex this past April at NYIAS. Maybe the Gardenia CA engine builder did some of the work for Ford on that? I think Ford's hydrogen combustion approach is the right short-term hydrogen answer. Dump in gas, E85 or hydrogen.
