Hi Y'all,

Here it is, so far so good.... Hood scoop is next (if you wave at it it waves back!) I plan to make my own in GRP ( functional too).

This my 1st run at custom auto work I have plenty of fiberglass experience from making model ship hulls.

The number 53 is my Shelby # 07SGT0053

Looking good!!! Looks like that spoiler install and stripe install went ok too! I'm glad!

Actually, the stripes were way off color. Not wanting to wait another 2 weeks for more stripes (which may not match either). I went to the local parts store and matched up some paint. So the spoiler is painted. After paint color sand and 4 clear coats it is nearly indistingishable from the vinyl. the trick was not to try to clear coat the entire spoiler, so there remains a ridge from masking which makes it appear like a stuck on graphic. I sanded the black base coat after masking to give the new paint some good tooth to stick to and cleaned it thoroughly with Kaboom followed by rubbing alchohol. I am very happy with result. My room mate Steve Little who is not only a damn fine corpman is also very good at graphics, he gave me great guidance and an extra pair of hands. There is so much more I want to do, but will have to wait for finances. I am so pleased with the painted stripes I am comtemplating doing the whole car. I am getting so many great ideas and inspiration from all of y'all.

I do want to go to Shelby razor wheels and bigger brakes, but that will have to wait until next year. The next project is the hood scoop, I plan to start mocking it up in pattern foam this weekend. With any luck I should have one glassed up by mid June. I will post pics as it progresses.

Thanks for all the great comments, comming from experienced car guys like yourselves it really means alot!
