FORD FACTORY WARRANTY

Recommended Posts

I know the 725HP SS states "No Warranty". Does that mean the whole Ford warranty becomes void or do we still have certain parts of the warranty still in effect?

From what I understand is that EVERYTHING is still under warranty. If the KB blower causes a problem, then Ford can chose not to warranty the part that the blower broke, but everything else is still fine. If the power window quits working Ford will fix it.

MM- Is there a way you can ask Bud or someone with SAI about the warranty? I would like to know for sure. One of the service guys at my local Ford dealership made it sound like I was giving up the "whole" warranty by going with the 725.

Hey there,

You might want to check out these links. The dealership cant void the whole warranty just because you had a supercharger installed. Consumers are protected against practiced like this.

Here ya go:

Thanks Page,

I thought I was right about this. Really know way for FORD MOTOR CO. to know the car has been SSd. Putting a blower on a car is not going to make the power locks stop working.

A aftermarket blower can and will void your powertrain warranty. (Engine, trans and diff.) From your 3/36 basic and the extended 5/60. All the big $$$ items.

Correct! They can say your trans went out from the added HP from the supercharger or the diff went out from the added torque from the supercharger or the engine messed up from the added HP from the supercharger.

However, that would not affect something like an alternator going bad and things like that, but like you said, it can cause your warranty to void the major things that cost big bucks to replace.
