I too am new (mine delivered on Tuesday) and I only have two things that I can advise...

1) Do a LOT of searches. I have read probably 80% of this forum, and it answered many of my questions, and prepared me for what to expect before I took delivery.

2) http://www.evoperform.com/shop/ 'nuff said :)

i call it the scary button =P

does anybody recomend a certain exhaust system for a more throaty sound?

Yes, just about everybody does.

There's a bunch of videos posted on You Tube, if you search for GT500 and EXHAUST. I like the sound of the Borlas, but there's even a few choices there. Depends on your choice of how loud, the tone, how much drone, etc., etc....

Welcome! Search, search, search before you buy. Everyone has opinions, and the only relevant one is your own. There are a lot of people on this site with sound advice, and it would be foolish to ignore them, so don't.

My Advice: Stay away from RPM Outlet, (RPMOutlet.com).

Congrats on the car...........aaaahhh, yesss I remember it like it was yesterday.......'still have the stupid grin on my face.

I do have one serious suggestion for you.

Find a driving school (High Performance Drivers Education) run by SVTOA or NASA etc. and sign up for a weekend. You will learn SOOOOOO much about your car and yourself. And you'll never leave traction control on again..........

They vary from region to region. I see you're from Florida, so you would be looking at events held at Daytona, Sebring, Homestead...........and there are a number of organizations to choose from.

I would recommend contacting a couple of our Florida members who regularly attend road course events: dactyl & JAS427

Just shoot them a PM, I'm sure they'ld be happy to point you in the right direction. Just make sure the school has mandatory instructor ride-alongs for their beginning groups and a history of not solo'ing people too soon.

They can give you better local information. With this much power, it's a very good idea to learn how to use it........smoothly :shades:
