When S/C'ing are their any other modifications needed?

To be honest with you I would only consider a brake upgrade. Weather it is upgraded rotor's, pads and brake lines or a full blown brake upgrade kit, you need to stop if you want to go fast.

Yes, exactly what this good man has stated. Go fast; stop faster.

+1 Absolutely!

BTW, adding so much at one time puts a strain on the budget. This is just an F.Y.I., not a gentle persuasion away from any brake upgrade of your choice.

The stock brakes on the '05 and up Mustang GT are the same brakes (front and rear) used on the '03-'04 Marauder, a 4500 lb. automobile of respectable performance.

The Marauder "stole" their OEM brakes from the Lincoln Town Car stretch that weighed in at over 5000 lb.

Thus...I think you'll be okay on the stock brakes for a little while, until you financially recover from the S/C install. Just don't over do the "faster", K?

Happy Motoring!

So a brake upgrade is a definate, What about the suspension?

The suspension on your car was upgraded at SAI before you took delivery of it, but there is still some more room for improvement. Better UCA's, LCA's, adjustable Panhard rod or Watt's link, etc, etc. but those changes are not required after installing a SC, they are changes based on your driving habits and personal desire of how much you want to mod the car.

I own a 2007 SGT and was curious to what other modifications are needed when adding a S/C to a stock 2007 SGT?

Brakes are not "needed" but probably advisable. Only thing "needed" afaik is changing the plugs out, but that is just from talking shop with others.

Your need for brakes is determined by your usage after you get the S/C.

Here is what I've been told. I haven't personally tested this theory yet:

If you are street driving or drag driving, and only hit the brakes hard infrequently or with time between for them to cool off, you're *probably* OK with the standard brakes.

If you are on a track going fast and on and off the brakes, you need a serious brake upgrade, including pads, rotors and lines.

In the first case, you'll know when/if you get any brake fade. If it happens once, go get the upgrade.

In searching for a brake upgrade you will find LOTS of differences of opinion here on whether there is any upgrade kit that will fit the standard GT wheels. Most say you need to go to 20" Razors to get clearance for the calipers. There are some reports of rotor/pad upgrades that are good enough, and also someone reported that there are some "in between" (4-cyl?) calipers that will also fit the standard wheels.

I like the black razors so I'd be OK with it if I have to, but also am quite pleased with the black standard wheels on my BJ so I'm leaving them alone until after I get the S/C to determine need based on my usage model.

I hereby disavow personal knowledge since I haven't been there yet, but this is a summary of what Bud at SAI told me but I'm without my email to confirm and running from old memory cells.

I am eagerly awaiting the release of the '08 Supercharger moratorium so I can get it done. I've got an automatic 'vert so I'm going with the HO (intercooled) Paxton.
