CRQuarto
I'll be hitting 1000 miles on the car this week (yikes, already!?), and will be getting the oil changed, and the vehicle checked out to ensure everything is in good order. I had already planned on going out to Galpin, but now I have even more of a reason...I wrote Bert Boeckman of Galpin thanking him again for the amazing deal he ensured I got (almost 2k below MRSP!) so I could own my dream car, and I got a letter back today: Dear Charles, I so enjoyed reading your letter, and I have a great appreciation and respect for the job you do. I served as a Police Commissioner for LAPD for 16 1/2 years. Carroll Shelby has been a good friend of mine for well over 40 years, and I asked him to sign some visors just for our customers. I have pulled one out for you and have it on my desk. I will hold it until you come by or I will mail it to you -- whatever works best for you -- just let me know. Enjoy your GT500...I'm sure it will give you many hours of driving pleasure...and remember...always obey the speed limits!! Sincerely, Bert Boeckmann Owner/President Galpin Motors Inc., Phone/Direct: 818/778-2110 president@galpin.com boeckmann@galpin.com SWEET. Now I just have to order my dash plaque! Son of GT
Nice one CR! Now that's service for you. Have a wonderful time with your 500, and like Burt says, always obey the speed limits! Yeah, right.
68fastback
That's a very class outfit and thing to do. I thought for sure Galpin would be one of the Shelby mod shops too, but not seeming that way. They did the killer retro BOSS 302 at SEMA '06. Dan

CRQuarto
Met all the guys at GAS when I picked up my car Cool dudes, also showed me the showroom with all of Mr. Boeckman's collector cars...pretty amazing, I felt like I was in Jay Leno's garage! He had an original GT500KR, a couple GT350s, ect, plus tons of other cars.
