07SHELBY GT Posted May 6, 2008 Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 I'm not real familiar with these cars yet but have owned s S197 stangs.On my way home from the dealership I thought i would wind it up a little and grab second,Seems like a pinion snubber hits the floor in the back and goes bang,One time no wheel hop just a one time noise.is this common? Grabber Posted May 6, 2008 Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 That loud bang noise is very common when your getting on it if you have a stocker. I have been told it would only do it once, but after hearing it one time, and having the wheel hopp, I installed a pair of BMR LCA's and it took away all my wheel hop and I have never had that bang noise again. But not to the point of being abusive.Man I can't wait till it's broke in so I can head to the drag strip.Looks like some mods are in order!
