GT500SC07
I attended the BoldMoves Ford Racing Drive Zone held at Ford Field in detroit Michigan last Thursday. Ford had two two tracks layed out, one for four wheeling their new trucks and suv's the other to test drive mustangs, fusions, Ford 500's and one GT500. Sorry to say they would not let the public drive the Shelby. This was an all day event and once every hour three names would be drawn from the registration box to receive a fast lap in the Shelby. My brother and I experienced first hand this fast lap. All I can say is I cannot wait to get my Shelby next week. I was picked to get a fast lap and John Alquire marketing Manager for the Shelby did the driving. This guy can drive and he didn't hold back at all. He asked if I was ready and before I could say anything we were sidways and making a hell of a lot of noise. He hit second and barked the rears again then came our first hard right turn which the brembo's brought us to a quick controlled turn and came out of the turn once again going sideways then we hit a straight and the blower kicked in just in time before we had to break for the next turn. Came out of the last turn doing a monster smokey burnout. Wow, what a ride and well worth taking the day off. In fact it was just as much fun to watch other people get their rides, it allowed you to see the car performing first hand. My brother didn't think to record it with his phone until after we were on our way home.

RUFDRAFT
Actually, Dave, I have. But her recent MS muscle spasms have prevented her from taking it to work now and then. Her legs and arms shake and she can't control it. But - yes - I did let her drive it! :bandance:

RUFDRAFT
No apologies needed, man. I know you weren't trying to give me a hard time. I haven't made my wife's condition widely known, but I deal with it every day. She's been in and out of work and the hospitals for 6 months. She loves to drive the Z, but can no longer. My issue. Caregiving is exhausting. This site gives me some relief! Peace, bro.

RUFDRAFT
Hi Tim - thanks - and I'm sorry about your wife. Christine has secondary-progressive MS. She's having a hard time. I love your avatar! "When I get home, I'm gonna slap your momma in the face. There's no way - no way - you came from my loins!"

Alloy Dave
I love your avatar! "When I get home, I'm gonna slap your momma in the face. There's no way - no way - you came from my loins!" "What we are dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law." Son: "Daddy, my hat blew off". Buford: "I hope your head was in it." Definitely one of the funnier movies of all times...and his character is the best.
