captdave
Is it easy to get to SAI from the strip? I will only have a car for a few hours. CaptDave
mrfarmdog
Yes. It is about 20 minutes North and they are just off the highway. You can see them when you drive up on the right. Not sure the directions but google them for an address and get directions from Las Vegas and you will find them. It is easy.

Since all the SGT's are done is there anything left to see? CaptDave
Michael Morris
20 min is not too bad. Since all the SGT's are done is there anything left to see? CaptDave Yes, KRs, SSs, 40ths, and cobras. You also have the museum. As you on the expressway headed to SAI look for the sign on your right. Shelby has a BIG sign telling you where to get off. Its worth running out there and meeting everyone. michael morris
ShelbyPilot
MM, we call them freeways out here. Dave, If you have the time, attend the tour but check out the scheduling. I think it is only once a day at 10:00 AM. Don't qoute me on that. Directions: Take any of the major streets westbound from the strip to the 15 northbound, about 20 minutes, exit Speedway. Can't miss it.

CaptDave Yes you can take pictures in the museum, cobra and mustang factories. Adam (Shelby GT/SC) had a whole video from the time we were there last May. Last I knew they do the secret stuff in another building that you won't even get close to.

twobjshelbys
Reality check from a frequent visitor. Where on the strip are you? I've had it take anywhere from the south end of the strip (near Frys) to the track in 15 minutes (from the south end near Frys) to 45 minutes. It all depends on time of day and like any "big city", the accidents and other traffic snarls that occur. Last time I left it took the low end - about 15 minutes but that was at about 9:30 AM on Friday. Look for Speedway Blvd, go east towards the track, and take your first right after Hollywood. CSX4266
Actually, they are referred to as freeways. Take the Shelby tour if you can. You might even be able to sign "the wall". If you are a Shelby guy, you won't want to pass up the opportunity to see the place. Make sure you take your camera with you. You will tell stories for months after seeing the place. Have fun! I don't want to spend the extra money, but what the heck. I know they are the same camera. Did you get your camcorder online? CaptDave
