The tires even look too narrow on the back. P Zero Tires are not that great either. I am waiting to see what fits also. That was the only let down with the car for me. It runs and drives fantastic. Looks even better! M. Delaney

BOB I have never worried about flat tires. I know you see them some times, but it pretty rare anymore. These cars have 3yr 36 month roadside assistance, so if you do have a flat Ford will come get you and fix it. I just drove mine 500 miles round trip and NEVER thought about the need for a spare michael morris

I really love the Alcoa SS rims but need to get them with a larger offset to accept the 295 Pirellis. I for one would buy an additional set with the proper offset for wider tires. Anyone else interested. I'm realistic the SS package is done but it would be great if SAI would offer SS customers special offset rims (at a cost) to accomodate larger tires in the rear. Not that it's practical on the SS, but the ZR1 'vette has 335's in the rear. 638HP... Bet it hooks up...
Cobraengineer
THE NITTO INVO SEEMS TO BE A GREAT CHOICE AND HALF THE PRICE AS THE PZERO That's also a good choice but then you will need to put tires all around on the SS. I was just thinking about upgrading the rear and keep the front. I believe that is what Michael was contemplating.

Michael Morris
I have thought about ordering NEW wheels and tires for the car. I want to drive the car, but dont want to screw up the wheels. I would like to take the SS wheels off and put them up except if I take it to a show. If I could buy the SAME look without the SS on them with the offset to put wider tires on I think I would. michael morris

I would put up a deposit TODAY. I believe most people on this forum like the look but not the tire size restiction.
Michael Morris
Would yall want them with SUPER SNAKE on them or just Alocas that look like our wheels. Michael Morris
I will work on this next week and see what come of it. I dont see it costing SAI anything, but I dont think we could get them with SS on them. To many folks would buy them and RESALE them to make a clone or could. I would like to have the offset not really the SS on them. We will see what happens. michael morris

RichG
Count me in on the Alcoas with the different offset. 305 or 315's would be nice if the offset can be changed to handle them. Im SS 502.
Joker45
I know of someone who had his wheels widened to 11" in the back and now has 335's on the rear of his GT500 with no rubbing and they are not hanging out of the fender either with the proper offset. That's something that they should have done with the SS. I believe 295's should have been minimum width IMHO.
Aussie Snake
Count me in for a set, plus tires Michael. Im sure you can arrange to ship them to Australia. I would be happy to put my official Super Snake wheels in storage anyway. Im not a bad a driver but i can guarantee that with those low profile 20 inch rims they will get some scratches over time and im happy to put them away to appreciate in value !! Ill swap them over if taking the car to a show and use the fat boys daily (well regular use anyway). Cheers Jason.
Cobraengineer
Michael, My Cousin and I are both getting Super Snakes. Count us in for 3 sets this way we each have a spare front and rear. My offset estimation is as follows but others should check the fitment, maybe Bud: 20" x 9 1/2" up front with a 40MM offset 20" x 10" in the back with a 47MM offset or better yet (if possible) 20" x 10 1/2" in back with a 50MM offset
03 DSG Snake
I have a set of Alcoas currently on order, but would gladly buy another pair for the rear which would allow for a wider tire. :happy feet:
Michael Morris
i called Alcoa and they said they couldnt do anything to help us. These wheels were made for SAI. Dont give up! Im still asking question and sending emails. We do need to come up with what offset would work for what tire we want. Are the measurements above correct? Not saying this will ever happen, but it doesnt hurt to be prepared. In my email I said that we would PREORDER the wheels and would probably order how ever many sets they needed us to order (within reason) to make the run. I would love to have a STREET set with or without SS on them, then have the SS set for shows. michael morris

What do you think of a custom set that closely matches the SS? There are many companies that make custom sets. Keep us posted on your efforts.
