timmyer
Been waiting for my 20" razors for about 4 weeks. I have had my tires for 2 weeks. Found out there on the way and there not what I ordered. I wanted the silvers and they sent the gunmetal. Not sure if I will like them. After seeing the silvers on the 40th anniversaries gt500's when I visited SAI last month I thought the silver was the way to go. Any pic's of white SGT's with 20" gunmetals out there guys......... Tim if the wheels aren't what you want or ordered, send them back and make them send the right ones....no sense in paying for something that you didn't order and don't like!!! Make them foot the return shipping bill as well...

blueshawk
This isnt going to help, but here is a SGT with SILVER and I think they look GREAT michael morris I have to admit, I preferred the gunmetals, but these pics of the silver sure look good. I'd be hard pressed to choose (assuming I had the money).
StrayShadow
I have to agree with Motorjock ... make sure you get what you ordered. Don't settle for something you didn't order to start with. Especially at the price your having to pay for them! A set of Razors with a decent brake upgrade will cost you, at the very least, 3150.00. Not including tires! So I would get what I paid for! mywickedshelby
they should be sending the correct ones now and not waiting for the gunmetals to be returned!
timmyer
sorry to hear that Tim. Any explanation as to why wrong ones were sent? Long story but will try to explain. As you know I own my own tire store. SAI told me what size, backspace that I needed since I could by them direct through American Racing Wheel. Placed order and told 4-8 weeks backordered. One of my employees called about some other wheels that were on order and ask the status of mine. Guy looked at it and said there here now he will ship them out. The difference in the silvers and the gunmetals are an 8 or 9 in the part number and he got it wrong. When I was told that there coming I called to check and found out the mistake. To late in the day already been shipped.

Nonetheless, if the product delivered was not what you ordered, send it back and get what you want.

ShelbyGT/WI
I've got gunmetal 20's on white, and as Roger says....they're slick. I'll try and find my Roadtrip gallery link so you can check out some photos. Hope it helps....
ShelbyGT/WI
Roadtrip Gallery Let me know if that link works. There are some close-ups at the Museum pick-up and then some towards the end when harassing MM...haha. The thing about the gunmetal is that they match the stripes perfectly, and I find are a little more understated than the silver. Something I think works well for a car that doesn't need any extra help in asserting it's presence...

Nonetheless, if the product delivered was not what you ordered, send it back and get what you want. Not sure how to take you reply but the"opening pitch" is exactly what has happened. I placed an order 4 weeks ago and now the wrong wheels are coming in friday. You seem to be saying that I am blaming someone else for my mistake, which is not the case. My employee simply ask about a back ordered set of wheels that we had ordered and the supplier made the error. He told my employee that the wheels were in stock and were not. The orginal order was right which after talking with them today I am still on backorder for. I am going to except the order for the gunmetals and see what they look like then will make my decision on which to go with. TIm
timmyer
OK, I went back and read my post explaining what happened. When I said "HE" got the number wrong by one number I was talking about "HE" at American Racing Wheels. The orginal order which is still on order has the correct stock number. The guy told my guy that the only difference in the two was that one had some clearence on the backside to clear the brakes on a GT500, and that I didn't need this for my car and the ones I needed was never on backorder. So my guy thinking they new what they were talking about accepted the info and said send them on. After telling me this I checked further into it, called SAI and called back to get it straight and in the mean time the shipment went out. SGT4729 sorry for sounding like a jerk. RogerS
That was exactly my point in posting the pics of the Gunmetal. It really comes down to your personal preference. Good luck in your decision. They both look great on the car.
LuLu
07SGT4729 sorry for sounding like a jerk. Absolutely not necessary, sir, but I appreciate the gesture. All I meant to say was that there was more to the story than originally posted, and you have clarified these details. This helps us understand your situation better, and perhaps prevent this from happening to others. Thanks for thinking out loud. BTW, I still say that if it's not what you wanted, send them back. I do agree (after seeing the pics) that gunmetal is not unattractive. Best wishes.
timmyer
OK, Here I am complaining again. Got the car out Sunday in the sunshine and sit one of the Gunmetal Razors by it and I like the way it looked. Been waiting on the silvers to decide which to go with. Went ahead and mounted one Gunmetal for the rear and it sticks out from under the car about 1/4-1/2 inch. Not happy with this at all. I order 24mm offset (6"back space) which is what SAI recommended. Has anyone put the 44mm offset (6 1/2" backspace) on their SGT?

Has anyone put the 44mm offset (6 1/2" backspace) on their SGT? Is is only one side or both? If it is one side you are an "adjustable panhard bar" canidate. I do know of cars with the same wheel package, just a different color finish, who found that the rear end was offset. The wheels just amplified the situation. The adjustable panhard will help center your rear end under the wheel wells. If it is both sides I would assume you have the wrong offset.
