Just spoke with Michael on his way back to NJ from a trip to Evolution for his mod day. Boy is he excited. He has a nice modification package. I will let him fill you all in on the details but he is a happy camper! :happy feet:

I can say that gas mileage has improved!

Can't wait to hear all of the details. When we spoke he was still 60 miles from home. Way to go big guy! :)

OK guys, sorry I didnt get online over the weekend, I was up to my arse in wedding stuff, less than 8 weeks to go and I can hear the second hand on the clock......tick, tick, tick!

My day at Evolution Perfoemance was incredible. Awoke at 4:40am Friday to make the 150 mile drive. Got there at 7:30am, before anyone else.

A sweet little package of mods including:

fays2wattslink

FRPP 4:10 gears

Eibach Lower Camber Bolts

Steeda Carbon Fiber Elbow

Custom Tune w/dyno

35% TINT.

First, the fay2wattslink......noticed the difference as soon as I got on the road on the way home. The car tracks better around turns and over expansion joints/uneven pavement on the highway. Just feels more solid. I used to dread going over these surfaces, but now she just takes them in stride. Big improvement.

FRPP 4:10 gears......let me say this first, I was most nervous about this change. I recognized that it would/could change the personality of the car....and I had apprehension about this.

Well, although the breakin period is 300 miles and I havent really gotten on it yet......

OMG! These just woke the car up. And I didnt think it was sleeping before! First gear used to be a second or 2 TOO LONG.....NOT ANYMORE. I used to have to downshift to 4th for passing power, NOT ANYMORE!

Even without getting on it hard, I can definately feel the change to the car......all for the better. Really looking forward to Drag Day at Englishtown on May 6th!

The Eibach lower camber bolts are cheap and will take care of what SAI should have done when they lowered our cars. The car was fine on one side, but off 1.5 degrees on the other. Problem solved now, but those who have only read about this and have not acted need to get up, stand up.....stand up for your rights. (sorry a little Bob Marley there).

These were $30, no excuses for waiting.

The tune. Oh yes, the custom tune. Well, on the old Shelby tune, my AFI, air to fuel mixture was 11.3.

From what Evolution told me, thats good for a S/C'd car, but not a naturally aspirited car. After the custom tune, AFI is 12.9/13.0......I dont know what my gas mileage would have improved to without the 4:10 gears, but I picked up NEARLY 4 MPG even with the changed gears. Figure 5 to 6 mpg if I kept the 355's. So for all those complaining about gas mileage, you now have something to check to see if there are better numbers to be had.........I was told the Shelby tune was crap and didnt want to believe it. You draw your own conclusions.

On the 1st pull (stock), my car only put out 255hp. On the 2nd pull, with EVO's tune & the elbow, it pulled 275hp. The Steeda elbow really looks great. I was thinking the hp on 1st pull was low. But the 2nd pull seemed to be right where it needed to be. Evo uses a Mustang Dynometer and they cliam that it would pull a number 5 to 7 % higher on a dynojet. I dont know if that is tru, just repeating what I was told.

All in all, I feel I improved the car on several different fronts with these changes and I am very pleased. Cant wait to get through the break-in peroid and see what she can really do.....NOW.

Also on Evolution Performance........there were 6 or 7 GT500's there with over 700hp, customers cars.

I was walked through the mods done, thinking behind it and new experimental packages filled with goodies in the works.

There is a shootout between Perfomance Shops being put together by MM & FF Magazine.......I saw them dyno one of the cars they are preparing for the race..........all I am going to say is that it was the baddest ass Mustang in the land........the number the dyno pulled started with an 8! (and went way over that!) I have a copy of the dyno sheet to prove it.

Cant wait to read that article.
