TurboSteve Posted April 1, 2008 Report Share Posted April 1, 2008 Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine will be holding a GT500 Shootout on the second week of May and is currently taking submissions for the event. The rules are as follows: -All 2007-newer Shelby GT500 Mustangs. -Stock style suspension only. -There will be two classes of cars. STREET Stock 5.4-liter engine Stock blower-may be ported Stock style T6060 six-speed manual DOT-approved tire Any additional bolt-on speed parts Stock Interior, rear seat delete OK if carpeted. OUTLAW Stock 5.4-liter based engine-any mods allowed Any power adder Multiple power adders allowed Any transmission Any tire Complete interior Racing buckets Ok as long as there are two Rear seat delete OK if properly carpeted or upholstered -Must have all NHRA required safety equipment, racing license per applicable elapsed time/mph. -Mufflers required and all cars must pass Englishtown’s noise restrictions. No bullet-style mufflers allowed. The event will be held the second week in May in Englishtown, New Jersey at Raceway Park. More information about the event will be given out once the submissions have been tallied and competitors have been chosen. Submissions should include exterior, interior and engine pictures, along with detailed information about your car, i.e. dragstrip times, horsepower output, mods list, etc … Be sure to include all of your contact information.
