Lucky enough to get both plates, "GT 500" & "07GT500",

I got the FIRST one in New Brunswick (Fredericton) Grabber Orange Convertible

AND I got the FIRST one in Québèc (Granby) Red with white stripes.

That's what you call lucky......

I already sold the Grabber Orange Convertible,

and the red one is my baby!!!!!

WHat ?

Plus you bought him his personal plates to?

Definetely not. The car was sold in another province,

plus even if I just hang it (07GT500) on my wall,

I wouldn't give it up now. Maybe I'll have to get another one Hehehehe!!!

Why did you buy the vert then?

With all the replies, this question is still unanswered, but the answer is obvious... it's called free enterprise. Someone had the foresight to look in two Shelby GT500s. Upon delivery, knowing the red hot demand at the moment, he elected to cash in because... well, he can. AND, still manage to keep one for himself. Not saying I condone such action, but I certainly see the logic to it and, if someone is going to make money on these things, I'd much rather see it be a customer than the stealerships. Woulda been nice, though, if he had offered it to the GT500/stangsunleashed community first, but his choice.

Enjoy that red coupe, Roch! That's the one I would've kept, too. The GO just looks too boy-racer for me. Just my .02

You never know, maybe the right money may be there to consider selling the red one too!!!

It was impossible to advertise the selling of the convertible because the dealer was sort of

threatening to not sell it if it was to be resold right away. So in other words it had to be done

with a little bit of discretion.

Oh, I disagree. I think he's (roch) is just a regular "market player". Just more evidence that the market prices for these cars won't be sustained since they are currently being supported by "investors" and not actual retail consumers.

"a little bit of discretion" really means complete lack of ethics. If anyone here has asked how much he'll take for the red one then you are just playing his game.

Okay, so several people on this forum get pissed when the dealerships mark these cars up, but you don't get pissed when an individual buys TWO of them just so he can make a buck? Sounds to me like the dealership he bought them from left money on the table.

The dealership that I'm getting mine from is selling their first one to a guy who wanted two, and they told him they wouldn't sell him two. I think they knew what his intentions were also.

McDuck - why do you insult the dealerships for taking advantage of "free enterprise" but it's okay for an individual?

No one is forcing anyone to buy anything here.

Don't like the price of something? Don't buy it.

Let's move on, bro's.

It's called capitalism.

Hey Ruf, let's not move on so quickly, look at it from my position. I am dealing at the same dealership that Roch got his GO vert from. I ordered my car two days after the NYAS show 05, I was first on the list at that time, then Mr.Rocho comes along and I get bumped from first to third on the list and I am still waiting for MY car which I have no intentions of ever selling, while Mr.Rocho is sporting around two of them.

I was already offered, by another dealership in the Province of Alberta, $20,000 over MSRP and of course, I refused.

I also congratulated him on this site about being the first purchase from this dealership but now I see that he is only a greedy, scumbag businessman on the same level as some of the dealerships I have been reading about on this site. Call the dealerships in Edmonton Rocho, all bets are you will sell your red one.

My apologies to all the great people on this site who are true Mustang fans, you probably think that I am just jealous....it's absolutely not so.

Oh by the way, Rocho, you used the word "discretion" , I use the word DECEPTION.

svtkeith, extremely pissed.

Ok hold on now what about if i would have cancelled the one in Fredericton do you think for one moment that you would advanced one car closer, keep dreaming because nobody advances 1 position. Do you know what whould have happened or what is happening right now, it s that a new JOE BLO would have come along and just decided to buy one without premonition and would have been willing to pay anything to get one. That is the guy that would have ended up NUMBER ONE. Not someone that was already on the list.

By the way, my deposit for the first SVT mustang to come out without knowing what kind was coming out was made in May 2004. So don't talk about being the first to make a deposit SORRY. You want proof of contract I have it. I also had a deposit on the second car in Grandby so do you really think that I am going to give up my deposit in Fredericton just because I don't want to knock somebody out of first place?????

Do you think the dealer would have given me back my deposit if I didn't take the car?

Plus do you really think that a dealer is your friend and not a business. They are there to make money like any other business. And if you go and cancell your order today, you'll have made really good friends because they'll go and sell it for $20,000 over MSRP.

As far as being a Mustang Fan, I am the president of the local Club, and presently own a 90 Mustang GT, a 2003 Mustang SVT 10th Anniversary convertible, my 2007 Shelby, (by the way it's not for sale, the comment was sarcasticly made) and also a 2004 F150 Lightening. So please don't say I am not a true fan........ you really don't know me.

As far as deception is concerned, like I said earlier, I was not about to give up my deposit on the one in Fredericton, just to not OFFEND a fan. The person that got the VERT IS A BIG FAN of Mustang and got a good deal and further more, a close friend of mine......

Maybe when my friend reads this He'll let you guys know how well he thought it worked out.

From the sounds of it Roch was first since his deposit was made in 2004.

You've got to give credit to anyone who goes out and gets what they want for himself and a friend at that.

I don't think that he should have given up the deposit for the second car either.

One question for you though? Why do you say Roch knocked you down from First to Third??? you're missing one in there somewhere. He didn't get both cars in Fredericton, the second was in Grandby Quebec.

Anyhow I wish I was lucky enough to have had the vision he did to put a deposit down that far back, cause if I got one now I don't think I would be lucky enough to get it right now.

Anybody that takes that chance over two years ago and puts money down IS A FAN......
