blueshawk
I'm installing the Shelby Gauge Cluster kit and the gauges come with red and green filters to place over the bulbs. Did Shelby install any of the filters or did they just leave them clear?
ShelbyGT/SC
Mine are clear. I think all/most are. I don't recall having a choice nor did I get any filters with the car.
stangcrazy
I installed the red ones, I can change to green also, The red looks sick with the red dash gauges, The boost guage is just little dimmer than the rest though, later Mickey

07SGT1638
NAPA sells the bulbs in colors. I got red ones to match the red colors I chose for the instrument cluster. I think that's a better solution then the pure white mine originally came with and the red (or green) rubber mini-condom caps for the white bulbs. blueshawk
How is the wiring routed on a cluster install?Don Email SSP and tell them you want the instructions for installing the gauge cluster. They'll send you a .pdf that does a very good job of describing the installation and wiring. I asked for it to study before I decided to buy. stangcrazy
yep, but mine came with loose bulb covers in the kit, I used a peice of 12/3 regular house wire, the ground , I then laid upside down in drivers seat with flash light and you can see the small hole and feel it as the instructioon say and pushed the wire through, it slid out out and up the windshied. I then put all the gauges in the pod and put the oil manifold together, then I took it to the shop and had the wiring and manifold installed still to them 4 hours labor, But I saved alot of time myself on labor!!
