Stripes Last Scoop!

Recommended Posts

All,

Here are some pics of scoop #3. It's being pulled and replaced on Monday due to the development of the dip 3" from the front. However this riveted scoop is pretty much perfect other than that. The guy that did mine when I showed him pics of other scoops with the damage to the scoops around the rivets and stripes told me that it looked as if they were attached with too much pressure.

Anyway...this is mine more than two months after it was put on...if the new one looks like this when on, and stays like this, I'll be VERY happy.

IS THIS THE FINAL FIX?

I have no idea! I know no more than any of you. This new scoop is the corrected batch and if it works as well as the one above it will be the FINAL fix for me!

BTW: I had RAINBOW COLLISION CENTER in Volo install the scoop. They do all the restorations for the Volo car museum. When it comes time for yours take it into Victor Ford and they will send over to Rainbow.

jeff, make sure you give your hood plenty of sunshine, this is what my scoop couldn't take.the hotter it got the softer the scoop got and the more dip it got.i'll be replacing mine when the dealer calls and says the next scoop is in.not to excited though because my old scoop was installed correctly like yours and i'm afraid my next one want be.to bad we have to worry about the material and labor.

+1

I'm going to my dealer next week to have him start the claim for scoop #4. I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes for Jeff.
