SuperSnake08
Ok- I spoke to Bud last week at SAI and Ryan from Eibach this week and this is what I learned about the Shelby/Eibach Suspension upgrade. Ryan told me that the SuperSnakes are getting an upgraded version of the Pro System Plus which will include the Pro Street Stainless Steel adjustable coil over set up. This is key because the basic Pro System Plus (which was just featured in the April edition of Modified Mustangs Magazine) does not include threaded collars to adjust ride height while the Pros Street S does allow you to dial in height within a 2 inch+ range. This system has preset valving on the shocks so the only adjustment is on ride height(unlike the Multi-Pro-R2) which adjusts both ride height and rebound and compression damping. It was mentioned that the Eibach system is beefier than the FRPP setup and that since it is adjustable it does not have to sit any higher than the FRPP set up. I have not personally driven this set up but the recent magazine review on a GT500 was awesome. It was described as a day and night difference, totally confident and predictable. A system that will allow the car to hansle as well as it accelerates. And that system did not include the Pro Street S coilovers. Now it would be nice if one of the guys who got their cars back already could look to see if they have the adjustable stainless coilovers which would confirm and identify the Pro Steet S sytem. Ryan confirmed today that SAI has been ordering those for the SuperSnake. It would be nice however if one of the early car owners could confirm this. PS- This in no way diminshes the FRPP system which has been reported to be quite sweet, with both great handling and ride comfort. I am merely providing some info that will hopefully address some of the questions that had been posed regarding the Shelby/Eibach system

I am still torn between the two suspension on my SS package but am leaning towards the FRPP as I will mainly be driving it on the street and not the track. My friend has a Shelby GT and it rides really nice but is stiff enough to handle the corners as well. I have heard it is basically the Eibach Pro System Plus system painted blue which makes sense when you look at the two kits as they look identical. I hope people post their opinions here. I guess that is the one good thing about being later in line is that to learn from others experiences before deciding.

gt67
SuperSnake08 I just got back my 40TH last week, the box that I got back with old parts in it said Pro Street S. The coils are blue and yes they are adjustable and comes with two wrenches.Car rides great and turns corners nice. BUD said all 605's , 725's and 40TH'S have this suspension.Whats new in Baco these days, I moved out of Lighthouse Point in the late 70's and now live in 35 miles south of Tallahassee.Hope this helps you out,I'm very pleased with it,and can't say enough how great Bud and the Shelby team has been. jwbeav
I was told by someone who already has the 605HP version of the Super Snake that it is the FRPP dampers & springs not the adjustable coilover set-up.. And I have sent messages to both Bud and Amy and no one has responded with the correct part #'s.. Even looking at the order sheet from SAI it clearly states that the options you have on the 605HP is the FRPP suspension or the Shelby/Eibach coilovers for an extra $100.The 725HP version will get the coilovers.. And it was also clearly stated that the FRPP dampers, springs & sway bar are in fact the Eibach pro system plus (which does not include coilovers) painted blue. As previously stated by Jwbeav.. I have researching this now for months.. I had originally purchased the FRPP springs, dampers etc.... but was holding off to see what the deal was with the 605Hp version of the SS and yesterday was confirmed that he had the dampers on his 605HP SS.... So I am going forward with the FRPP dampers, etc.. M-2007-FR3SVT handling pack since I will not be tracking my car... Hope that sheds some light... Lee- You will be happy with the FRPP suspension package. One thing to note, unless you bought the FRPP suspension from SPP they will take it off and put a new one on and charge you for it. I have been in contact with Bud about this very issue and am just going to wait to mod my GT500 and let SAI do it all. JW
COBRA CRUIZER
I don't see the FRPP suspension package on the Shelby parts catalog.
SuperSnake08
That's because it's listed as the Eibach... Look under the FRPP website and look under M-2007-FR3SVT... That is the package... This is a good dialogue. I guess it all comes down to the application. If you plan on tracking the car then go Eibach, otherwise FRPP looks super and performs fine. I just like adjustable ride height and 725HP so it's Eibach for me. Let's get early car owner feedback asap.
Michael Morris
I was just at the Barrett Jackson Auction at West Palm Beach today :happy feet: and spoke to Gary Peterson (VP of Operations at SAI) ... They had a 605HP version of the Super Snake there and it had the M-2007-FR3SVT suspension package on it (confimed by Gary) dampers, springs, sway, etc.... It looked awesome.. The stance is exactly what I want .. Which in turn confimed that I will definitely be installing this on my car within a week.. (waiting to get the sway bar in).. On another note I also confirmed with him that they will be offering the front carbon fiber lip but that the carbon fiber side rocker panel will only be available with the SS package.. Hopefully I will be able to post some pictures of the show later... Hope that helps out a little... Just in case you see Gary again his last name is PATTERSON not PETERSON. Just thought you would want to know michael morris
ff500
I've got the frpp svt handling pack on my car and its like night and day, I was on the fence with the SS and the 40th pack, in the end I opted to mod my car the way I want. I like to drive my car and I know if I had the 40th or SS I wouldn't drive it as much I would look at it more as an investmant than a great weekend/summer car. I also had the frpp 3.73 gears installed, frpp short throw, frpp cai and the frpp sgt mufflers along with some other minor mods. The car is an absolute blast to drive. Next on my list are some catted long tubes, tvs blower and a larger heat exchanger. I don't go to the track and its mainly a street car, anything above 600-650 Hp would probably be to much.
