2112
Anyone do this? anything simpler than unbolting the tracks and spacing them higher?
cobrafan
You will only be able to put spacers under the back of the seat. The front bolts 90 degrees . You can probably raise the back of the seat 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.
Ford blue blood
If these seats are anything like the rest Ford has put together just pull it out and flip it over. The track is probably bolted to the seat with four bolts. Longer bolts and spacers will raise it up.
ntsck
It is amusing that you can get power adjustable passenger seats on the GT, but not the GT500. They go up plenty high.

Keep in mind that if you change it drastically you might be altering the airbag impact location against the body. It might lessen if the seat is all the way back. enormous
Now that we are on the topic of seats, my question is, has anyone successfuly been able to position the seat further back for us tall guys? Custom bracket or modifing the original? I'm 6'5" and would prefer another inch or more in leg room.

ingram4868
I suspect that a good hot rod shop could modify or fabricate new rails.
Aussie67
Anyone do this? anything simpler than unbolting the tracks and spacing them higher? Not sure how mutch you want to spend but my dealer gave me a price of$2,100 to fit electric seat same as driver seat. I haven't done it yet but still thinking about it as mine will probably become RHD one day and would prefer electric seat for this. Has anyone else done this modification, this sounds like an awful lot.............

We we're told to go to a mod shop with that one, but I decided to trade to a 2006 GT, then to the GT500. Any excuse will work for me!!!

I would rather fit the electric mechanism to my original seat if that could be done.
2112
Found a right seat power track assembly on TeamFordparts.com for 451 bucks. Not sure it would do the trick, maybe someone knows? You could probably get a donor seat for a salvage yard. With any luck, they used the same wire harness on the GT500 as on the GT, so the connectors may already be there.
