Although it's possible they may be added just before job 2, contrary to what some have posted here and at other Forum sites, there is no Grabber Blue or Gold noted on the color guide for 2009. At least "Vapor" made into production.

Appears to be a carryover of the 2008 model. I don't see any changes in standard equipment or optional equipment.

Extra color options came out in 2008. I bet they do in 2009. I think 2009 will be the best GT500 ever.

The order guide is posted. It shows 09 colors. Everything is the same as the 08. No changes other than the Sat. Radio comes standard on 09 VS optional on 07 and 08.

Now they MIGHT add a special color at some point during the 09 run, but if they do it would be a limited run and those you would likely pay a ADM on just to get it.

Now we need to hear what the production numbers are estimated to be for 09.

I am "guessing" it would be limited to only 4k - 6k going on the "assumption" that the 09 run will be limited and end late December 08 to March 09 so they can launch the new 2010 model early in 09 to hit showrooms at the same time the new Camero hits or before that.

yep looks like skunk will still be offered :hysterical3:

is lime green with black stripes being offered?....i mean if dodge can bring back B5 blue (which they have) ford should bring back my favorite color....i think you guys are right...short model run on 09's with new body to debut later this fall....

Which new body? Same as regular Mustang but GT 500 in 2010?

Give it some time,Ford likes to drag this stuff out. Just like they did on the 07's when the released the red stripes. Evo says June 08 Grabber Blue and they have known about the 09's longer then most of us.

These cars will depreciate but likely not at anywhere near the rate of other vehicles. The 2010 and beyond top dog, Shelby badged, Mustang will take everything we currently enjoy in the GT500 to yet another level which will not help resale values on the current generation. The Shelby edition Mustangs may be running lean on the interest scale in 5 years. A clean, 2008 GT500 with reasonable miles could bring mid to high 20s by 2013. There will be far too many in circulation by that time to warrant pricing north of those estimates.

It will be like the 1970's all over again. A great time to get a almost new toy for the garage. Not everyone can afford $47k and up. It will be something to see what these cars are like in 20 years. Will people still say "Hey, there goes a Shelby"? Or will it be just another Mustang? I'm hoping it will be just like the old days.

remember thats another $40 mil for 09 in the shelby till

just for this model alone

got to own the stock and the cars

as a hedge

the more cars the higher the stock(lower car value)

the less cars the higher the car value(lower the stock value)

mix now is just rite

nothing makes money like a shelby

just ask rousch and saleen

who will never have the history and the following!

regards to all shelby partners

I would like to have seen Ford's glass roof option make it to the GT500. At $2k, that's roughly $1k less than what I've been quoted by Glassback Roof/Webasto installers. And the Ford glass roof seems to include a roll-away sun shield, which I don't think the Glassback roof has.

So all or most of the 09 models could be built in calender year 08???? Interesting.............

I noticed that the glass roof is an option on the regular Mustangs. I want a GT500 with that!

I was in a Saleen Extreme with a glass roof. It didn't have a sunshade to close. Do the new cars have a sunshade?

Yes they do. There is a liner in-between the glass and the cabin.

The Saleen didn't have anything. This car is for sale in Boca Raton, FL. I asked the dealer who is going to buy this glass roof car without a shield in south FL?

That was a pretty boring order guide. Nothing new..........?

I cant believe not even one new color?

MSRP deals on 08 now avail, why wait four+ months if you can find one in your color now?

Its springtime!

Tungsten is now offically the least produced color, unless they come out with a job 2 freak color. Grabber Blue would be bad-@ss!

This is the only disappointment about the 09 GT500 announcement...no new colors...unbelievable Ford. Grabber Blue or lime green would be bad-@ss.

i agree especially with lime green...add black stripes and i would give serious thought to the gt500..but.lets face it...short model run..use up all the parts...and roll out the 2010 with new style and a host of hot colors (consider camaro and chally hitting the streets in droves)....chally is coming out with the old B5 blue, true ram air and old school stripes....ford will have something up their sleeve (real GT350 or other) or kiss market share goodbye..

Censorship by any name is a good way to get rid of vast numbers of forum users. If I can't count on an interesting thread to remain for more than a week due to a heavy-handed moderator, it's not worth my time keeping up with the forum, because there are MANY MORE to choose from elsewhere without an obnoxious censor butting in at random times.

Checked the order guide and Shelby Dude is right, 08/09 exact same car;

But also lost all our test drive sparring posts. Maybe I will repost them

on the "Good Bad & Ugly Topic"........ :finger:

Second thaught I better ask Shelby Dude first :talkhand: .

There must be something new coming in 2009. It's only a short time away, we will see.

I loved your stories, post them again please. Or post some new ones.

Listen guys.

This thread is about the order guide.

It's not for ADM bantering back and forth and sparring. :finger:

Go to the ADM thread for that, and if you want to leave......then leave. Don't threaten. Threatening is ugly. I will continiue to clean this thread up as seen fit. In fact I am going to do some housekeeping now.
