 I bought the upper Roush control arm for fixing the wheelhop problem and let me tell you its a Godsend ! Not only did it fix the wheelhop, it also makes the car feel better, rides the same as stock, and no NVH problem at all. The car feels more stable through corners just all around better feel could not believe that one thing would make such a difference. Nothing like being able to do smooth burnouts even when it 32 degrees outside. I still have the factory lowers also. I believe it is the cheapest way to fix the wheelhop problem. :happy feet: part #401788 Wheel Hop Reduction Kit you can also download a catalog for Gt500 at http://store.roushperformance.com/catalog/..._PDF-popup.html

A number of people have just replaced the LCAs and fixed the problem. I bought, but have not installed at this point Billet LCAs with Relocation Brackets called "Anti Wheel Hop Kit". Since the Relocation brackets need to be welded in on calls with the power of the GT500 I will start by just installing the Bolt In LCAs. See Picture:post-12985-1204856686_thumb.jpg

I also heard only the lowers are needed for the wheel hop problem, that's why I only replaced the lowers with the upper 3rd link. Car is on the pavement now.

Here is plenty of information already on this forum regarding "wheelhop":

For myself I'm keeping my car stock.

I don't really have wheelhop issues since it is all about launching this car correctly!

Less is more! Go easy on the gas and rpm at the start until the tires grab.

Yes, the rear suspension for this car was built relatively conservative but it still works.

* Also, the tires are not designed to be driven below 40F!

The Roush control arms look like factory control arms but reinforced ones. The roush upper control arm really did improve the ride. The rearend feels more planted to the road with none whats so ever detriment to ride quality. On my 07 Shelby I tried LCA and it help the wheel hop a little but the ride quality suffered. So on the 08 Shelby I tried something different I replaced the UCA only and the wheel hop went away with just changing one pieace and without affecting the ride in anyway. Which made me really happy. Because whats the use of have all that power and not being able to use it without boucing your car to death. I will be getting the Roush LCA because they use the factory bushings but elimate the factory control arm twisting which should not affect NVH and also look great on the car. So now I do not have to worry about how I lanch the car and fear that dreaded wheelhop and thats a good thing.

Why is that Sharabi?

I'm looking 4 a fix too...unless we're talking damage. Then I'll skip it.

What do you know........

I do not have technical knowledge since am a physician and not a mechanic or technician , but i was following some common sense..If i have A and B and i want to link them in a way that prevents the wheel from moving forward in the wheel well under hard acceleration, and the subsequent toeing that can happen that causes the wheel hop then i would resort to a fixed length, Adjustable is good for manufacturers to sell more because they have a lot of setups with multiple car's specs to fit.

I had that Steeda "Stop The Hop" kit installed with upper and lower control arms.

I never turned the Traction Control off, and then try to smoke them, before I installed this

set up. Have any of you turned off the Traction Control and smoked them,

do you still get a wheel hop? If I leave the Traction on,

I still get a hop sometimes, but when its off I can smoke them with no hop.

The reason for the adjustable is for differant race tracks and changing track conditions. Adjustable is better, if you know how to adjust and for what for. Otherwise the adjustments need to be to stock, or it could be a real nightmare

With just the Roush UCA I get no wheelhop with or without T/C on. I just Love them I know the cars sometime can be different because of Factory Tolerances, so this UCA may not do as good as it did for my car as yours. My 07 wheelhoped worse than my 08 when both were stock so take that for what its worth. If it helped my car I would think it would help anyones car. I will be putting the LCA from Roush on also and the car should be set. I will let you know if the LCA help on any of the handling too. I will probably wait until the KR is out to see what they have done to it. I hope Shelby lets us have some of the KR stuff they sure did not hold back on letting the V-6 Mustangs or the GT's to have the ability to turn their Mustang into fake GT500's. So why not let us GT500 onwers upgrade to the KR level. Do not give me the value thing, a real KR will be easy too fiqure out by the Vin. All those 65 -68 fake Shelbys did not devalue the real ones one bit.
