What?

That is what Ford claims!

It is right on our certificates!

It says,

The Ford Performance Group and Ford Special Vehicle Team certify that Vehicle Identification Number 1ZVHT88S27XXXXXXX is a LIMITED-EDITION, 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 assembled at Auto Alliance International on 8/11/2006.

You guys have to stop with this "Limited Edition" crap. If they limit production at 75,000, it's a "Limited Edition" run. Yeah, limited to 75k but limited none the less.

Just drive and enjoy the car.

Nope! Mine is limited to only 8,150 Coupes. That is all they made for 2007! Future years don't count nor matter. Those aren't 2007 models! So whether they build a total of 20K, 30K or whatever, mine is still limited to only 8,150 coupes that were built in 2007!!! :hysterical2::hysterical2::hysterical2:

Seems to me that these old prod numbers compared to the current prod numbers are equal if you take the increase in population from then to now. I wondering if anyone here would be willing to do some investigation and crunch the numbers to see what the prod numbers would be if population were taken into the equation.

2006..............................................People 299,398,484 Shelby's in 2007 10000 and a change. ratio...about one Shelby per 30000 persons.

Did not include 2008 (not over yet) questionable 2009.

1968..............................................People 200,000,000 Shelby's in same year 3000 excluded gt350, ratio ..about one Shelby per 60000.

When total number of Shelby from 1965-1970 is included the ratio will differ and should be compared to all shelby 2007,2008, ?2009,?2022 :hysterical: ....ON

I tried to be accurate as possible forgive my faults.

This discussion is really making my 1 in 2300 SGT sound "Very Limited" :hysterical2:

Yeah it looks as though if you wanted the GT500 to be your collector you should have went the SGT route unless they dont make anymore after 2008! :hysterical2: Yeah... RIGHT!

Well according to Amy, there will be no more SGTs - at least in this body style. http://forum.teamshelby.com/forums/index.p...st&p=370463

So if you want one you need to get them while you can

The SGTs didn't seel well because they were too pricey, two sets of markup and too many cuts out of the pie. They are still around even with rebates and in some cases, below invoice pricing. The same thing would happen to the KR if they made 8 thousand of them.

I think the SGT'z have the best chance for collector status because of the low numbers. I was looking at a SGT once and I compared it against the Gt500 and for 6k more I believed that the gt500 is a better deal(IMHO). The dealer by me has the one from last year and this year still on his lot I gauruntee he would work some fantastic deal.
