JonW Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 Go for the '08. Who knows what prices will do in '09. They may go down even further (unlikely to go below MSRP). Or, if demand spikes for the last year of this body style (which will be a short model run), they may go up. The Red Stripe package may not be available in '09, either. If you ordered and 08 and later when and if an 09 comes out in Grabber Blue then you could always Trade In for an 09. Least your guaranteed to have one if the 09's are not made for some reason. shelbymotorsports Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 My advice is to buy the 2008 now and when the 2009 model comes out and you still want it trade in the 08 for the 09. By being a repeat customer hopefully your dealer will treat you right if you do decide to trade in your 08. If you get the 08 now and decide to stay with it even when the 09 model comes out you'll be ahead of the game with a lower price and many hours of enjoyment/memories under your belt. About 3 months later the 2nd oil shortage hit. That lady's car was made almost worthless (460ci). If the price of gas goes up again we may be able to get a 2009 GT500 at a good price. They told me the current model year will likely continue into June. I have the opportunity to get a 08 at MSRP but I think I am going to wait a few months to see what new options are available on the 09 model.
