SMGT
Non for me yet - the sound of me knocking on wood as I am probably jinxing myself - and that's why I like to get my car to a track at least once a year. I can drive as fast as I want with no worries about lights behind me.
bull
No speeding tickets yet, just got pulled over and warned about having no front plate. I had the plate sitting in my back seat white shelbys with blue stripes are my favorite..cant say though they will attract lesser attention then the "faster colors".far as no front plate...well i agree it is damn painful to drill holes up front..but...it is more then enuff probable cause for seeing the unwelcome lights in your rearview mirror...luckily for you..cops have wide discretion on issuing of tickets for traffic stops..so if your nice you might get lucky and recive a verbal warning..of course you might also be instructed to apply the front plate in a certain amount of days to be in compliance with your state law... rpretzel
I just got a speeding ticket in my SGT. I thought white was not suppose to attract cops? Anybody else ? Sudden. White doesn't attract cops. Excessive speed does. 0 tickets for me. Although it is pretty difficult to get a speeding ticket when the Shelby is on jack stands in the garage for the winter. TheKurgan
3. I think I'm the leader. That is the only bad thing about the black ones. They attract major attention from everyone and especially the black "skunks" coming down the road. Loud exhaust does not help either.

Kelsey
None yet, but since I still live at home, and to keep my insurance actually affordable this is my Moms car :eek5: . Since I got one for fog lights in one of her cars, next one I get I'll become the primary driver on that car.
ilmor
The only speeding ticket I ever got in 37 years was once in a rental economy car in GA when I did not see the sign and speed limit change in a small Georgia town.
bigcarl1
I've been stop twice for going 70 in a 55 MPH Zone and each time the officers got out of there cars with out there ticket book so I knew right away that all they stop me for was to look at my Shelby and I was right had to pop the hood and tell them all about the Black Shelby. STLShelby
Haven't had a speeding ticket in over 35 years. Did lose my license for 8 months when i was 18 yrs. old with my 69 Z/28. Through the years i learned when and when not to. There's a time and place for everything. I try to be real careful since i have a CDL and have 7 more years before i retire. Now i just jinxed myself.
Shelby-Don
Craig Broussard front plate bracket.....no drilling. I have the lower front grill with driving lights and have contacted Graig and he stated that it would fit but I would have to remove the bumper to install and then once it was on I couldn't remove it unless I took the bumper off. Thanks but no thanks. While my car is parked for the winter I am going to try and take a look and see if I can design somethink a little easier to use and have a local machine shop fab it up for me. 69dejavue
Damn! that sign said 50 Km, not MPH. That is only about 33 MPH over the speed limit. Canada is draconian. And did the sign say 10,000.00. That is cruel and unusual, except that doesn't play in Canada. I must admit I would be afraid to drive there. But then again you only have about a month without snow so you only have to be good for that month.

I had the plate sitting in my back seat Can't say I've popped the cherry on the SGT speeding tickets yet, but the ole 89 Thunderbird SC has had some nasty infractions in it's day. =) FTR, I'm sooooooo glad they finally got rid of the front plate law here, I refused to drill holes in the front of the SC to put on a plate holder and somehow got away with it for 5 years not having one. The beauty of small town life..
