Shelby GT Pricing

PASGT

Recommended Posts

Hello All, I am new to this frum and considering an 07 Shelby GT purchase. I have seen several posts here about pricing new and used. I found a new 07 Black Shelby GT at a somewhat local dealer. The car has a pre conversion price of $32335 plus the $1000 GGT and the $7390 giving it a $40725 total. The dealer is asking $34999, can one of the experts here give me a breakdown of invoice and an explaination of this a/z plan price? I am trying to determine where I stand on how good a deal is on these cars. I believe Shelbydude has my answer based on what I read about the carmax car. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks again Shelbydude! I take it the A/Z plan is a Ford factory dealer incentive on top of the rebate to help dealers move leftover stock?

A/Z Plan is for Ford Employees that work for Ford and their retirees.

If you don't qwork for Ford you can't get A/Z PLan.

Dealership employees get D-Plan which is a $100 more than A/Z Plan.

Affiliated companies that are enrolled with Ford can get X-Plan.

You must provide required documentation to show proof that you qualify for one of these plans.

I have have a few loose ends to tie up and a wife to convince but I am working on it! There are a few nice cars out there but most of the good deals, cars under $33000 are not local to me. I am even considering the white car listed here it is in NJ for $33000. By the way did any of the black cars come with the polished wheels? Correct me if I am wrong but the cost without the A/Z plan because I am not eligble would be $30050.58 +7390+1000 =$38440-2500=$35940.58. I am looking at a price $1000 under invoice correct?

Sounds like it has a few of the goodies I wish mine had at 32K pre-Shelby MSRP. Sounds like a pretty good price if it's the right color and has the right options. I found out that the "wrong" color can become the right color pretty quick if the wife likes it and it's a good deal.

I had to drive 800 miles to get one back in September! I paid 36K back then so this sounds like a great deal. Just make sure it has ALL the options you want, I didn't realize these cars came with the interior upgrade pack because I never found this place until after I bought mine. I really kinda wish I had it, but the plain inside is really growing on me!

The black SGT comes with black wheels.

Sounds like a deal though!

The black all came with the black bullits. At that price, jump on it! You will not be sorry! :headspin:

What other cars are you considering?

The car I am speaking of has I believe everything accept navigation. Int. upgrade package, wheel locks, alarm, heated seats, sat. radio and shaker 1000. It is black with the black wheels. I saw a photo maybe somewhere on this site of a black SGT with the polished wheels but I never saw another one. I like the polished wheels but I am allways drawn to black cars! I was looking at the new Bullitt having owned #4995 back in 2002 but a Shelby in the same price range as a Bullitt makes for an easy choice! I am also considering all 07 SGTs the white is tradional Shelby but I definately want the interior upgrade option and leather. There is a used white SGT on Autotrader with 490 miles for $31500 but it has cloth and no IUP. Nothing is definate yet!

I might be way off base, but I thought all the SGTs had leather. I've never seen one without

The GT Mustang Premium models all have Leather

The GT Mustang Deluxe models have cloth

Both models can be ordered as a SGT.

I'd guestimate over 90% were all Premium models, but there were Deluxe models which have cloth.

There are still 35 Deluxe models available and there are 1145 Premium models still available. These are just 2007 models. That is apprx 20% of 07's made not sold yet.

I drove over 900+ miles to buy mine in October at 36+. However, I will disagree with some here and make sure you get the vehicle you always wanted, including the color. If you have to pay this vehicle off over several years you want to look out over a hood with the color you want, not your second choice. You will see that most on this site have a preferred color and then the other colors. You may only do this once so get the color and equipment you want or wish forever that you had.

As far as color I am not the least bit biased but WHITE is CLASSIC SHELBY, cleaner, faster, sexier, etc than those other colors. And it looks good with the polished wheels. The bullitts are the throwback to the old Cragar S/S mags of the 60's. Or you could buy one of those other colors and spend the rest of your life wishing you had bought WHITE knowing you had settled for less. But I am not biased.

The polished wheels you seen on a black car on this sight might have been mine. It was part of the deal i made with my dealer.

The polished wheels were in ALL the pre production photos. Then before they made number one, they changed the wheels to Black for all the Black SGT's.

Many of us loved the polished look initially and then just fell in love with the black.

do it the way you like, but the back wheels on black car is correct stock form.

Interestingly enough, the Shelby ArtHouse Print has the black car with the polished wheels from the pre-production photos. A primary reason I havent bothered to purchase one, it doesnt match the car.

I had a feeling it was a press release type photo, pre production makes sense! I dont dislike the black wheels I just like the polished better.

I prefer the polished also. I wasn't concerned about not having the black wheels with the car. You can buy them from Ford Racing and some other places for around 170/180 bucks a pop. They aren't an expensive hard to find item. The polished cost more than the black.

I have been thinking about one of those posters since they do match my car.

Same reason I didn't buy it either, but I did buy the magnets :)). I prefer the black wheels. My second choice would be the polished billetts though. Both look amazing on the car imho. Anybody found a die cast of our cars yet? Preferrabley with black wheels?

STLShelby For some reason I didn't see your cars photos until now 1:45 PM EST but WOW thats what I am talking about! The photo I originally saw had both a black and white car in the same shot and both had polished wheels. After looking at your car if I buy a black car I will be changing the wheels! Do you have a friend with the original black wheels on his car? If you take a picture with both cars parked together I bet more people will change the wheels! There was a set on ebay, polished wheels with tires for $1200 or so and they were new. I would keep the black set for collector value down the road.

Actually later on i am going to put chrome 9' dish bullets on it. The reason i wanted the dealer to swap the black for the polished is because i don't like black wheels, and it will be a year or more before i buy aftermarkets.

STLShelby, I cant get over how good your car looks! I keep coming back to look at the photos you posted! I think I am lusting after your car!

Wanna buy it? Everything has it's price.

Whatcha give me for it? It only has a 1,000 miles on it.

Don't think with your head now, think with your heart. :D

J/K of course

P.S Missed your question in your post about the black wheels. They went on the 08 GT the dealer took the polished off of.
