Shelby GT Conv 08SGT1676 - The Hunt is Over!

Finally brought one home - 08SGT1676. Just the perfect car to justify selling my 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible I've owned for the last 21 years since Sophomore at UGA.

It took two months of searching and talking to numerous dealers, but I finally found the Shelby GT just right for my garage. When I found it at the right price, I had to jump (my wife thought I was going to wait a couple more months).

It's pretty well loaded.

5 Speed Manual

Cloth Conv Top

Interior Upgrade Pkg

Active Anti Theft

Wheel Lock Kit

Sirius Radio

HID Headlamps - AWESOME!

DVD Navigation w/Shaker 500

Ambient Lighting

Heated Seats - great for cool Atlanta GA nights

Conv Boot Cover

I don't know who is more proud - me or my 5 year old son.

Like I said, I don't know who is more excited...me or my son! With four kids, its going to be a continual battle for who rides in the back seat in Dad's car!

Everynight, I have to open the door to the garage to check and make sure it's really there and not just a dream. The only casualty is my poor 07 Ford Explorer Limited that has been pushed out of the nice, warm garage from now on. Oh, of course my wallet was a casualty also. Priceless will be the value of the memories that I will have with my two boys tinkering with this beauty over the next 20 plus years. Now if I can just find a hobby for my wife and the two girls....

I actually did really well on price...Dealer Invoice (not MSRP) at $36,177 plus Shelby Equipment Pkg ($10,390) for total of $46,567. The dealer either forgot or left out the $1,000 Gas Guzzler Tax. I was able to verify the X-plan price since I'm eligible for X-plan on Ford Partners web site and it was $70 less than the Dealer Invoice price I paid.

Congratulations Andy,

I own 08SGT1675 a blue coupe. Coincidentally I also own a 66 vert, however I was fortunate enough to be able to keep it. Owned since high school in '79.

The two look great together in the garage.

The pic with your son says it all! Enjoy the ride.
