Transmission Pic's

Grabber

Recommended Posts

Thanks for starting this thread Grabber. It will be very helpful for us that will probably have problems in the future to take pics to the dealership to show and explain to them exactly what the problem is and what it takes to correct it.

I know I've printed much of your info and created a folder on this issue.

The more pics the better.

Damn that is dusty..... I hope I don,t have that prob with mine..... going with a new SC in the spring.

I wish I could have the tranny and clutch replaced now before the mod. :spend:

I did not get a chance to see my old one removed, but i would guess my would of looked like this one because I had the dust on my garage floor, you can see a vent on your photo. Just wonderling how much ware was on the old clutch? and how long it would of lasted?

Take it in, have them call Customer Service to do the test on your car.

I wish I got a pic of the pile of dust on the floor that fell out also. :banghead:

I can't take it to the dealer this time of the year, but I did call customer service back in the summer and explained to them that I had that slight problem shifting into 2nd gear and that it only happened on the first ride of the day.

They told me out of 16 Shelby's sold at their dealership there had never been one call on that same issue and that they had called Ford, and that there was no trans problems with this particular vehicle which I think is BS. :censored:

Thats why I think I will have a prob with them if something goes wrong with the tranny once I change out the SC in the spring. How bad did your trans get before you had it replaced?

You could drive it, but from day one it was not right. It was the only thing that bothered me about my car. I knew it was a matter of time before their was a fix. Your trans may only need lube. My car got better when warm up, but still had the nicking most of the time, it got worse over mileage, how many miles on your car? Do you like to get on it? I got on mine once and could not get it into second gear, like i missed or locked out, it only happened once cold. I'd say if you got dust on the floor right under the trans i'd say you might have some issues.

Thanks for the info guys. there is only 2100 miles on it and yes I like getting on it once and awhile but I don't do any drag racing and I did not see any dust under the car, like I said I would like to get this done before I mod it more.
