altopcat
Does anyone know how or were to order the black wheels (rims) on the 2007 Black Shelby GT. Living in NY with all its potholes it would be good to have a extra if the worst happens. I wonder if a full spare mounted would fit in the trunk or the 18's are too big anyone try that yet? ShelbyPilot
They are also available through Ford Racing Performace Parts. Any dealer should be able to get them.

A few months back, four of us got together and bought Wado's original wheels so we would each have a spare. It fits in the trunk just fine. I got an air jack (driven by the exhaust) to jack the car up should the need arise. Jim
mywickedshelby
Yes, what Jim said. Its big, but it fits. Also, I went to the dealer for this first. He quoted me $410 for the wheel and another $189 for the tire.....when I stopped laughing, I bought one of Wado's original set for $175 plus shipping. blueshawk
Yes, what Jim said. Its big, but it fits. Also, I went to the dealer for this first. He quoted me $410 for the wheel and another $189 for the tire.....when I stopped laughing, I bought one of Wado's original set for $175 plus shipping. It barely fits in the trunk but not in the well. I got the temp wheel and the tire from the dealer for a total of $400. You'll also need a small jack like the scissors jack that comes with the standard Mustang. That costs about $35. I also have a spare Shelby GT black wheel and tire in my basement too in case I also damage a wheel. Another thing to consider, if you get a flat and need to change the tire, you'll need someway to raise this lowered car a little so that even the low profile scissors jack can fit under the car. I bought ONE (not a pair) of these to carry in the trunk. http://www.raceramps.com/store/shopexd.asp?id=67 I have their race ramps too and they are great. All a pain in the butt to just get the capbility to change a flat but I don't want to mess up the wheel and tire sensor with that tire inflator kit gunk and I don't want to have to have my car towed just for a flat. Just think of the possible damage a tower can do even trying to get the car on a roll-back tow truck.
