philip murphy
Having read thru some of the other posts regarding production numbers and your new car VALUES. I sit here in amazement that these new car owners don't see what Shelby American Automobile Club has strived for years to prevent. Just like you are seeing now as soon as a particular model is profitable and sold out . Shelby will add more cars untill the market is flooded ! Guess who loses? ...........news flash ...........The guy paying way over sticker to get one of the 1000 cars . This has been repeated thru history : Shelby wanted to buy a 66 GT350 conv . (They only made 4 in 1966) no body would sell one .........back 20 some odd years ago So he built 10 more 427 cobras were coming up fast in value Ohh look 45 "original" chassis just found (must have forgotten about them ) later proven to have been built for shelby 20 years after production stopped. and now we have 1000 KR s then another 100 then 2009 the sky is the limit . sorry just the facts Carroll $helby

SnakeEater
WOW i didnt see this coming! an attack on Mr Shelby. everytime one of these thread start it always goes there. why cant we talk about the cars he builds?anyone....anyone... michael morris My 1st Shelby ride was a Cobra in 1965... I'm now 60 and now have a 07 SGT500 after several SVT/ Cobras. Ronald Reagan said "nothing is better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse" ... but I'd add the inside of a Shelby!! My hat is off to Mr Shelby!!!!!!

KCMO-GT500
...just spent way too much of my life reading a few threads over on SAAC and a couple of other sites. It is interesting to see that most of the SAAC supporters in those threads are saying very hateful things, plus accusing team shelby members of being the negative ones. Then I come back here, and I see some of the same negative posters trying to stir things up here, apparently to try to get us to say the negative things they are accusing us of. I think we should just ignore/shun the negative posters; without the attention they are hoping for, I am sure they will just leave in frustration. It has become an emotional issue with them, and no amount of facts presented to them will matter. Remember Ignore & Shun

Everyone remembers it differently. Some think Carroll and Ford made too many, some think not enough. I don't have an opion on this piece, I am not versed enough to give one. I am however involved in the present. I agree, we made too many 2007 Shelby GT's. If I had to do over I would have made less, it was a short period of time, and with the added hertz cars available, it was too much, that is why we made less in 08 and added the convertible. We will continue to do the right amount of cars going forward, 1000 KR's is the right amount. Only History will prove us right or wrong. I will add one thing, your sign on ID is disrespectful to Carroll Shelby, You will need to change it if you want to post here. Please continue to post here if you like, but please change your id. You don't have to like him, you can even hate him, but on some level you should respect , the Le mans winner, the hall of fame Driving record, the early mustangs, the cobras, dodges, some where there should be an once of respect that you don't need to use that id to get your position heard. Just a thought. Thank you Amy

KCMO-GT500
..probably just a "one and out" poster As I said above, we should anticipate some coming over here to stir things up when they see we are trying to keep rational about this issue. Cmon let the Big Dogs & Deep pockets work this out while we sit back and enjoy R Stangs under normal circumstances you are very correct (regarding assistance to a new member); this mr s on the other hand is one of those stirring things up over on another forum. he did not come over here to contribute ..I will add this however, anger is a secondary emotion, the underlying emotion is typically fear. I can see that this change, or any change for that matter, can be scary. I just wish everyone would let this play out and not anticipate the worst. Let's face it, no one is gonna die over this, or even get ill. It is just one more blip on the path of life.
