Painted Mirror Covers

I got covers for my outside mirrors that are painted the same color as the car and put them on today. Photos are below (the sunny skies and palm trees were a coincidence - honest). My thanks to Revans310 who first posted (to my knowledge) photos of these precise covers on his GO SGT. I got the ordering information from him. On the black and white cars, the stock black colored mirros look great but for the Vista Blue, I just could not live with it (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it). JimMir001sm.jpgMir002sm.jpgMir003sm.jpgMir004sm.jpgMir005sm.jpgMir006sm.jpg

Hi Clark,

Awesome mirror covers, in fact the best I have seen to date. I was thinking about having mine painted like the ones on the CS8 but now have a excellent alternative.

Do you have or can you post some pics of the view from the drivers seat. I am curious how much thicker it makes the mirror look from the drivers POV.

Thanks and congrats on the new 08'.

Here's a pic of them on a white car. I got mine from hubcapsplus.com, $165.00 painted to factory color. Attaches with 3 strips of 3M tape. I had to use an adhesion bonder to get them to stick to the factory mirrors though. Dave

Nice Jim.

How odd. When I was installing my new antenna today, I thought about getting some mirror covers.

I'm leaning toward this design. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06-07-08...sspagenameZWDVW

Although I'm wondering what a chrome version would look like. 2 different versions.

If anyone is interested, found the half cover styles on americanmuscle.com for $79.99 including shipping. They got some Vista Blue pix on here too.

Not nearly as nice in my opinion, the covers on Clarks car are the best I've seen.

I wasn't happy with the half covers from American Muscle. I took off the mirrors and had them prepped and painted.

That looks nice SoCal did you do it or have it done? I was wondering what I'd need to paint mine, flex additive or special primer that sort of thing.

Well, I sent mine to JLT in Virgina. I was too lazy to look local but I know one person had a local SoCal shop do theirs.

Looks great Jim, best mirror covers Ive seen yet. I think you just talked me into a set.

Socal's solution may be best if your car is inside for the winter. Cost is about the same and, with Socal's solution, you have the whole thing painted but you do have to remove the mirrors. Jim

IMO Midwest Auto Gear (http://www.midwestautogear.com/) has some of the best looking covers on the market and I know I've seen at least one post on here (or the Team Shelby forum) talking about their engine covers.

Their's is a good product but it gets back to the debate of whether you want full covers or half covers. Both look good so it comes down to personal preference. Jim
