twobjshelbys
I saw this in Durango, CO in 2004. The dash had a Shelby signature plate, and the inside didn't look like it was made yesterday. If you pull the photo and look at the sticker in the window it's a "Mile Hi Cobra Club". Can anyone tell me if this is an original or a replica?

Can anyone tell me if this is an original or a replica? Cheers, Tony I agree. My guess is that it's a replica, a "kit" car many folks enjoy building, and there's nothing wrong with that. They can be fun cars to build, when you have the time and money. Peek here? http://www.milehicobraclub.com/
twobjshelbys
Looks like we're playing forum tag - I just looked at the Mile Hi site and this looks like James Avery's car. Not bad.

Sargie
Replica It's a replica. I'm pretty sure it's a Factory Five. They are a lot of fun. I have one of their Daytona Coupe's. FiaCobra_merged
Rich, beautiful coupe. I'm building one also (Shell Valley body/Custom tubular frame) How long did the build take you? With a ton of other projects going, this one will be awhile. Well, at least i have the Mustang to hold me over.

Sargie
Rich, beautiful coupe. I'm building one also (Shell Valley body/Custom tubular frame) How long did the build take you? With a ton of other projects going, this one will be awhile. Well, at least i have the Mustang to hold me over. Thank you for the compliment. I had the car on the road finished 100% in about 5 months. The 5 months included 8 weeks at a body shop. I had almost my parts in the shop from the start . The car has no "donor" parts. All new stuff. This was my 3rd build (2 roadsters before) so it was much faster than the first. I have been watching a guy here in CT building a Shell Valley car for about 2 years. I don't think the issues are with his kit. Seems like it should go together pretty easily. Body work is the big thing with these cars. The IRS went in pretty easily too. Keep me posted on your progress and details when you have a minute. Good luck with your build Rich
