just-larry
Does anyone recall that a few of the 66 Hertz cars were shipped with 2 Shelby ID plates??? One installed of course with the correct rivets and a second one that Hertz was to keep on file. (this was for any resales done in a few of the non-title states such as Maine and Alabama at the time). This may be just a small quirk, but I have heard it mentioned before, many years ago. Also, some of the Hertz cars had a speedometer lock to prevent the customers from disconnecting so they did not have to pay the full outrageous $.17cents/mile.
