Shelby can corner!!!

I got a little excited going up a very curvy hill and thought I was going to lose it, but I was surprised and the tires did not even squawl. The car kind of just felt like it rolled a little bit and then tires just dug into the pavement like the thing was on rails man!!

I saw those videos of the euro cars against the Roush and the Roush mustang was completely sideways going through the corners, but I seriously think this car would not do that. Actually now that I'm thinking about that video, the driver was probably just doing that on purpose...it's very easy to do with all the power in the car. Maybe he just couldn't handle it :)

This is by far the best handling car I've ever driven. They should come out with a Shelby Racing game for Xbox or something which was based upon the actual cars to spec and include all the aftermarket products to choose from to dress it up :D ...just a thought.

Yes I always find that the car holds on and I get scared and back off BEFORE the car starts to lose it. B)

Adjust your front sway bar to the last hole and it gets a little tighter....

Adjust to the hole closest to the end of the bar.

Won't that make the car less stiff? If I understand correctly (not a good assumption) moving to the end of the bar will increase the moment arm from the wheel to the sway bar. So the sway bar appears less stiff.

Or am I not thinking about it properly?

Sounds right to me...

FWIW 1638 came from SAI with the front bar on the softest setting (holes nearest the end).

SAI set these things up to be better balanced and less prone to understeer (push in NASCAR terms), ie the front end pushes to the outside of the corner. It will push more if you adjust it to the holes farther from the end. I was quite impressed to find SAI went for the handling settings on this car.

Had this been a typical Detroit product it probably would have had max understeer dialed in. Understeer is "safer" for the average motorist. It's easier and more instinctive for the average Joe (or Jane) to backoff the gas if they are entering a corner too quickly. Backing off, unless you really overcooked it, tends to bring the front back and reduce push. From a product liability POV, this is much better than having the car swap ends and spin.
