I'm Back!

Dig-It

I wish to thank all of you for the heartfelt send off you gave me last week.

Friday night my beautiful darling wife picked me up at the airport ending my long journey home. It's so great to be home!

More good news:

Initially, part of the bargain with my Social / Financial Manager for purchasing the Shelby was that I’d have to sell my daily driver (2004 Boxster) and start driving my 2001 Mustang GT that’s been a garaged weekend toy for the last six years. In those six years since I purchased it brand new, it's only been driven 11,508 miles (as of yesterday 10/20) and it’s the first heavily modified (engine, chassis, suspension, brakes, body, and interior) street legal car in which I’ve done all the work myself. It holds an extremely high sentimental value to me.

Yesterday, she informed me that I could take a little cash and find a new daily driver so that I could keep the GT in its weekend warrior status. I’m thinking about getting a white Fox body Mustang to continue with the Mustang theme and to go with the red SN95 GT and the blue S197 Shelby! (Or would I peg the Cheese-O-meter by doing that?)

Even more good news:

Going through the huge amount of email that’s accrued in my queue while I was traveling, I came across an email from Wayne Morris Ford that said my car has been produced and is awaiting shipment from the plant to Shelby!

And yet even more good news:

A guy and his wife came by yesterday and purchased the Boxster sight unseen for just a little shy of my asking price!

What a great weekend!

Glad you got everything you wanted, but you sold the porsche ? ? (sniffle sniffle)

I regret selling every porsche I have ever owned. no regrets what-so-ever selling kids Ford Contour, GMC Jimmy, Taurus station wagon, JagXJ8, Inf Q45, Mit Monteros, Nissan Maxima, Mazda MX6, yadda yadda tadda.
