I saw an Eleanor S197 getting off the highway the other day. It looked awesome going by me. I was in my wagon. I wish I had been in my SGT. If I wasnt heading to a meeting I would have done a U turn and followed him. I havent seen one up close and would love to.

They are extremely nice with the fit & finish of the Cervinis kit just impecable. I have thought about doing a SGT/Cervinis package to my SGT but then decided against it. The SGT looks so freekin good by itself.

question no one has been able to answer where in the 60s did the nickname Eleanor come from?

Cause it didn't!

While it's about a lawsuit over the name the history of the name can be found here:

http://dallas.bizjournals.com/dallas/stori.../08/story6.html

It originated from the 1974 version of "Gone in 60 Seconds" which I had never heard of!

The car thieves gave their "boosts", or cars they were stealing, women code names.

I saw the film it is actually a very good car film, but I never knew the name Eleanor name came from that. Even if the cars name was Eleanor, it was a Challenger or Cuda, I think. Excellent chase scenes. It was a LONG time ago so I may be corrected here. B)
