1FST ASP
Just got off the phone with Cynthia @ SAI. She said Tasca was not taking cars yet and didn't give me a date. I think I'll send it to Las Vegas anyway. She said they were on car #29 and I would be # 125 :o . Any idea how long this could take? BTW I live in Northern Virginia. Can anyone recommend a good carrier from around here? I'm so glad I signed on to this site today! You guys have opened my eyes to many things! Thanks, 1FSTASP

Thanks, 1FSTASP I was very pleased with Reliable carriers. It sounds like they dispatch all over the US and I think they have an office in Florida to take care of the East Coast. Thanks, 1FSTASP I just used Reliable to bring my 500 from Kentucky to NY, VERY professional but did take 5 WEEKS. Have used them in past also, but never took this long. Another good small carrier is galmond@exotictransports.com. VERY competent, would be quicker I think, have also used him and was very satisfied. mikewheels
I just received a card in the mail from Tasca, the shop is open now for mods and Steve told me a couple of weeks ago that it would be sometime in late fall before most of the Shelby work starts up. rheller
I was very pleased with Reliable carriers. It sounds like they dispatch all over the US and I think they have an office in Florida to take care of the East Coast. Be very careful with car carrier companies. My experience was a nightmare. I contracted with a company out of Florida to move my vehicle from San Diego to Connecticut. The car took weeks to arrive and showed up caked in diesel oil and road grime. On top of it, the guy insisted on delivering at night. Never allow that to happen. He had me sign paperwork and said if there were any problems to notify the company. After three washings I discovered the hood dents. The company said I was SOL because I had signed the release paperwork. I was very naive at the time. I was worried at first as well, until they picked up my car. The carrier was enclosed very clean, even had hardwood floors in the trailer. The driver covered all seats and floor mats with plastic, did a walk through and signed that there was no damage before car was loaded. Driver even put a towel where he rested his arm when he loaded the car so he would not smudge the paint! I was pleased with Reliable, it is a class act company. My car was shipped from Missouri and made it to SAI in three days.
