Jesse_Bolt
From another web site... So, I am driving to work this morning and I see, 'mustang legend lives' on a flashing sign up ahead.I get to where the sign is and I see a 2007 Shelby GT500 in red with white stripes on the lot. Now, this isn't a Ford dealership but a small used car dealership. Here is their web page asking $73,500.00 for the car, used, with 40 miles. VIN 1ZVHT88SX75201915 www.shannonmotors.com It reminds me of when the first 2003 Mustang Mach1's came out. Another small used car dealer had two of them in Somerset, MA and wanted I think it was around 40K each, at the time...they had them before any local Ford places had any. Jesse_Bolt
So much for Ford enforcing it's "No Broker sales" rules!! With the V.I.N., I 'spose the offending Ford dealer can be identified. I'd like to think this offending Ford dealer would lose some Share of the Nation allotment. Since it is being sold as "used," it was titled (purchased) at least once.

jrichard
From what is posted here, most likely a private party purchase now being sold as used. It would be bizarre if we don't see quite a bit of this. I've seen one on eBay (though that car is not on the ground). It makes sense for individuals who don't "have to have" the car early but who got the car early (either by luck or because they decided to speculate on the market) to sell the car for a profit. CobraCrazy
I hope it sits on their lot until 2009 when they finally sell it for 34K.
old guy
What do you make of this?? http://www.bargainnews.com/viewad_referral...amp;from=Google Same s/n - same car. Same dealer? I don't know. Different stock # and contact. EDIT: And different area code. I'll bet this car is sitting on some dealer's lot somewhere and is listed by several brokers. BadTony
if they are in fact 'brokering' a Shelby, they should be reported.
Five Oh B
Brokering means that a new car franchise sells a new car (still untitled) to another dealer (who isn't franchised to sell that kind of new car), who in turns offers said car for sale as a still new (and untitled) vehicle. When a new car franchise titles a new car during a sale, and said car is resold by that first buyer as a titled, used car, then it is not brokering. Hence, the car in question is not being "brokered" if it is, in fact, being sold as a previously titled, used car. Well, it appears that this car is being brokered! I just pulled a AutoCheck Vehicle History Report (like a Carfax, but a different company) to see if a title has been issued for this VIN #, and there is not a title transaction reported, unless it just recently happened and the report does not reflect this very important fact yet. Joker45
Well I think this one is being brokered also. What do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Mustan...009833275QQrdZ1
Five Oh B
Considering that ttkinvestments has 65 items for sale on eBay currently, and only one of them is a car (the GT500 in question) with all others being collectable trinkets selling for $5-$20, I'd be very leary of doing business with them. This is very likely a broker who thinks he'll be able to secure a GT500. Somebody call Ford and let them know about this one!
Joker45
Well I called the dealer that this vehicle is being sold from and the sales man told me that he has already sold both of his GT500's for the 2007 MY. He said that he sold them both for $15,000 over MSRP and that if he gets anymore in he will sell them to another dealer for $30,000 over MSRP. He said that he is sure that they will be sold for over $100,000. Now mind you, this is from a hick town dealership that has about 10,000 people in the city. It's about 25 miles from my house and he also told me that they are only building about 7,500 this year. This is just crazy the stuff people will tell you over the phone. I didn't mention over the phone about the EBAY ad that claims that the car is coming from his dealership. Maybe someone should call Ford and let them know.
