Has anyone installed the lower billet grill yet?

I haven't but would be curious to see what it looks like as well.

I thought I saw a picture of a GT-H prototype with the lower billet. Anyone installed this item yet and have pictures? I'm curious how it looks where it meets the honeycomb side pieces in the lower grill.

I have it and it looks great. Fairly easy install.

Hello all- So really, has anyone put the lower grille on? I bought one last year, pulled it out to fit up and found I can't access the back of the lower bumper, there is a wind deflector in there? Haven't gotten under to take a closer look yet, thought maybe someone would have some pointers? No instructions from Shelby with the part, no screws, etc.

The insert is designed for the 2007 vert, which has a different lower plastic bumper - two driving lights and two inner (brake vent?) holes.

The piece fits in the square opening fine, I just can't figure out how I'm supposed to attach it?

Mine's in. I'll get outside and take a few shots. It took me about 20 minutes. From underneath, you can easily reach around the wind deflector and push on the four tabs that hold each side's honeycomb pieces, and push them through. I then just lined up the billit grille, drilled four holes (two on each side) and then used 1/8" rivits to lock it in place. Seems to be just fine.

Sorry for the bugs and dirt. I actually got to go for a drive yesterday.

The big square holes will not be there in your car. That is where a company called Agent 47 Racing rented my car in order to fit some of their new products. They cut those holes in the front to fit their new Shelby brake air ducts. Then they fit the honeycomb pieces back in and Hertz was never the wiser.

Take a look at this topic.

Grabber's instructions are right on!

A summary is that the whole installation is based on rivets. The holes in the grille were not big enough (on mine) and the alignment of drilling through the plastic fascia was (after one rivet) not good enough to try, so I made some rough measurements, offset the original holes to the interior and redrilled with larger pilots through the fascia to make a mark on the grill then removed it and drilled through the mounting plates, and popped the rivets.

Do be careful though when drilling - cover the fascia and splitter with blue painters tape before drilling - On the first one my drill chuck made a mark on the splitter plastic. I'm the only one that notices it though.
