If I were to do anything to a gt500 I would first put a decent suspension package. Since the gt500's don't go to SAI they don't get the ford racing handling package. Jack @ MMP Sales Muscle Motors Performance, Inc. jack@musclemotors.com http://www.musclemotors.com (818)888-7778 "Here to Make Racing Fun & Affordable for Everyone!" OK Jack, you've perked my interest. A few questions: *Does the new Whipple W200ax fit under the stock GT500 hood and shock tower brace? *Why 2 KB boost a pumps? I know that there's 2 fuel pumps but do you need 2 boost a pumps or will 1 work for both pumps? I believe that KB's SC kit for the GT500 only comes with 1 boost a pump. *Where did you get the KR hood? Is it Cervini's? *I didn't see the MMP Single Blade Throttle Body on your web site, what size is it and is it fully set up for the GT500 "out of the box" or do you have to customize it like KB does on the Accufab TB? Last question, are you running the stock injectors? If you are, will you change them (increase size) when you install the GT cams and up the boost to 19psi? I've been following the development of KB's GT500 kit through the articles in MM&FF and I've been close to pulling the trigger and buying the KB kit but I waited because I wanted to see what the Whipple kit for the GT500 was going to be like, you're the first one I know that has installed one and so far, as judged from your post here, I like what I'm hearing about your Whipple experiment. Jack @ MMP
WP64, I hope the below answers all your questions: 1) We had to change the hood to the new style that is being used on the Super Snake kit as the Whipple will not work with the stock factory 07-08 hood. 2) You have 2 fuel pump drivers and this is why 2 KB BAP's are required. We have had to install 2 on Ford GT's also for anything over 800rwhp. 3) We purchased the hood through a vendor of our's that Whipple used when doing R&D with the blower. They have currently a fiberglass and carbon fiber verision available with a functional ram air. 4) We are still running the factory fuel injectors currently and everything has been okay. We may have to upgrade them and will probably go to SD 60's. We are trying to make this upgrade affordable to the end user without having to do a bunch of mods. In it's current form we have been getting alot of local GT500 owners wanting to step up and get everything from us. We can offer the KB kit also to our customer's however IMO if anyone is trying to keep originality to their GT500 the Whipple is the way to go as this is a Ford authorized part. If you have any other questions please feel free to let me know! Jack @ MMP
