07 GT500 Convertible For Sale in Alabama

Hello Shelby enthusiasts! I am helping a friend of mine sell his 07 White Convertible. He is a very busy doctor who is not too computer savvy, so he asked for my assistance. He has too many toys, and his wife says this one must go. I plan to put the car on eBay for him sometime this week, but I wanted to offer the true Shelby enthusiasts first dibs. This car has only 919 miles on it, and is absolutely Mint! He purchased it locally, here in Auburn, Alabama, in February. It has been babied and has never even seen the rain. It has the Shelby blue tape stripe, blue racing stripes (added), and the $2k DVD based Navigation (which seems to be quite rare). It also has the Premier trim upgrade (with solid black leather) and the Sirius sat radio. The MSRP on this car was $50,585. He will sell it now for $59,500. If I end up putting the car on eBay for him, it will likely have a buy it now a little higher to cover the eBay fees, but a lower reserve price to hopefully stimulate bidding. If and when the reserve price is met on eBay, we will not sell it outside of eBay. It will go to the highest bidder there. If you are interested in this car, please contact me (Dr Chuck) very soon at (334) 444-6886 or email me at kid_dr@charter.net with any questions. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please make them aware. I have pictures that I will gladly email to anyone seriously interested. Thank you.

FYI:

MSRP on 2007 Shelby's do not exceed much over $47,000. Did he add anything besides the navigation, trip package and sat radio? You might want to include whether, or not it has a Shaker 500, or Shaker 1000 sound system. The Shaker 1000 is an optional upgrade adding an additional $1,000+ to the cost of the Shelby. You are priced too high based on the comparables especially since it is a resale with miles. Some states do not require sales tax on pre-registered vehicles so you might want to sell that point if applicable.

Check out the Private Buyers - What did you pay Forum for what Shelbys are selling for now if you're serious about selling it.

Thanks to everyone for your input and advice. Michael, it was a pleasure to discuss the car with you and I appreciate your professional input as well. Next time I'm over your way, I'll try and stop in for a visit. I may post this car on a couple of more forums today. Look for it on eBay in a day or two. I have detailed the car and taken several pictures of this beauty. Thanks again. :)

Thanks gtplumber!

The car is now posted on ebay: Item number 160144308323

Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think.

I detailed the car top to bottom, and started removing the surface rust off of the axle casing (I don't like any rust on a car - even there). I soon realized that it was going to be a more extensive task than I had time for. Plus, I wanted to leave something for the new owner to do (if they were so inclined). You can see in the pic of the undercarriage the difference between the right and left sides. I started working on the right before deciding to leave it alone. This axle casing was obviously exposed to the elements before the car was assymbled. Does anyone know why Ford or their supplier does not paint or powdercoat these prior to assembly? Does everyone have the same issue with this car? Does anyone else care?

If the car were mine (and I wish it were), I would brush all the rust off, prep, and paint it (especially if I had any plans to show the car (which I would).

Thanks again to all.

Its the same with the regular mustangs and SGT's. Ford can barely stay afloat right now so for them to do what should be done it isnt going to happen. And they wonder why they are hurting.

I SEEN A GT 500 CONVERTIBLE AT HAWK FORD IN OAK LAWN, ILL. FOR 49,995.00 ON THEIR WEBSITE.

I see that as well. The MSRP on this one (with Navigation) was more than that. I find it interesting that they have a Shelby GT priced well above that, and that this listing is for a Vista blue, but it shows a stock photo of a red one. Why would they price a GT 500 Convertible lower than a Shelby GT? And why do they not have a picture of the car? I seriously doubt that they are actually willing to sell a new GT 500 vert for less than $50k, but if they are willing to do so, someone should jump on that deal!

BTW, this one is still available and is back on eBay as of yesterday with a reduced "buy it now" price of $55,000. All serious offers will be considered. Thanks.
