It's hard to believe that a year ago today we were just finishing up the first Mustang project with Ford as our partner . This was the first one Shelby has worked on in 40 years. The GT-H. Since then we announced the 40th anniversary gt500 package, the 07 Shelby GT, Upgrades to the Shelby GT, The Shelby GT500 KR for 2008, The Shelby Gt500 Super Snake kit, The Shelby GT 08 starting soon, The Partnership with Scott Drake for a parts business, Authorized Mod centers, all of this and we rebuilt our Cobra business as well and delivered all backordered cars ordered years before I started. Whew! That said, I also know we are a long way from being where we need to be. Although the parts business is better, it is not perfect, and I met with Scott Drake and his team Friday to work toward making this better. Part of the problem is that we are using so many of the parts he sells, he doesn't have any to sell. We are working on fixing that. And the next catalog will state : in stock, coming soon, or in development. Believe me , I completely understand the frustrations, a lot of that is due to me/us trying to get you everything you want fast, which hasn't completely worked. That said, I think the part that has worked is that we talk, when we unveiled the 40th and you wanted a dash plate we designed one, got it done and delivered in 8 months, not a smooth process but we did get you all something you asked us for that we delivered. When you didn't like the Super Snake side stripe, we changed that as well. Now we can't or won't change everything, but we will work with you on the things we can. This is not to say we are running perfectly yet, but that we will continue to get our business running smoothly and continue to talk to all of you. Getting your problems solved and your calls answered is a number one priority for us right now. It's an exciting time to be a part of the muscle car rebirth, the Mustang World and the Shelby Family. We wouldn't have GT500's or Super Snakes, etc..... without the Carol Shelby group teaming up with Ford and working hard to to accomplish these goals. Based on this older post - you talked about changes in production based on customer requests. Previously a couple of forum members talked about having a Super Snake badge on the rear of the SS. Can you reply to that possibility. It's been a couple of months since this original post and alot has been changed and accomplished. Hopefully this request is possible now through SAI. They told me they didn't, but they had one still left to order, and it could be mine to order the way I wanted it. So I took two days struggling to figure out what I wanted. I thought I hit the lottery, being able to get one made to order. Was I gonna get the Performance white with traditional blue stripes? Or maybe black with white stripes? hmm I settled on all options (shaker1000 over the Navi), and verte since I always wanted one. I sat down to go over the specs, and I noticed in the folder my sales guy had a sheet announcing the re-release of the RED STRIPE OPTION, AND AVAILABLE ON VERTES!!! This was announced October 19, according to the sheet he had, and yet, I can't find one single blip about it anywhere on the internet. IS THIS NOT KNOWN TO ALL OF YOU?
