A Troubling Thing Happend To My Rear Spoiler

It was a hot day here in California yesterday B) , I had my GT500 parked outside my office briefly; I usually pull it in our warehouse when I'm in the office all day. So after about an hour of the car being in the direct sun I go out to leave and immediately notice that the rear spoiler had lifted off the trunk lid about 3/16-inch in the center; from the rear you could look between the trunk and spoiler and see the bottom of the rear windshield. Looking at the top of the spoiler you could see two dimples about 4-inches in diameter on either side of the top surface above where the spoiler bolts to the trunk.

Needless to say this troubled me greatly :o !!!! I pulled the car inside the warehouse to get it out of the sun and within 10 minutes the spoiler cooled and assumed it normal shape back down onto the trunk lid; the dimples disappeared and the spoilers shape looked normal.

Later in the evening when I was washing my car I tried to spray water between the trunk and spoiler in the center of the spoiler but couldn't get any water to go through to the other side, indicating to me that the spoiler was sitting squarely on the trunk lid with enough force as to not allow water to pass between it at the trunk lid.

Just thought I'd pass this one along to my fellow GT500 owners, something to watch out for when parking outside on hot days.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?
