Great job Shelby Performance Parts!

SPP has obviously addressed past problems with more knowledgeable personnel. I had a GOOD expereince today with them on the phone.

It is just as important to report GOOD NEWS as it is to report a not so good experience (as I have in the past) with Shelby Performance Parts.

I called today and was able to reach a real person and talked with them about my back ordered items and got updates on upcoming items. Back ordered items are being shipped and I added a new item ( headrest covers becuase I love the arm rest cover)

Here's what they said

Front Lower Fog Light kits ---approx. 2 months

Gauge Pods ---- awaiting gauges from Autometer. Put your order in and "get in line" because they are being used up by mod shop also. Wait 2- 3 months depending upon Autometer filling demand on gauges.

Brake Duct kits are being resigned ala NASCAR style in the center of the wheel and so they will fit the many different front end styles of the Shelbys. Wait 2-3 months.

I’m sure others have had the same questions.

Cheers,

-Tim-

F'n A on the 2 months ofr the lights!!!!! Well at least we now have a time. I just left a message for John at SAI to find out how long a wait. I just wish this had been conveyed a while back. No big deal, it is what it is time wise but when you are thinking it is only 2 more weeks and its months it kinda sucks.

I would recommend that they take a look through the catalog and designate those items that are not yet in production as "Coming" and those that are out of sock as "Temporarily Out of Stock". In either case an expected delivery date. You can still order them but your order will be held, and your card not charged, until they arrive and ship. You will be notified if there is any further delay.

This will reduce the work in responding to "where is my order" calls and allow people to focus on working quickly to get in stock orders out the door as well as working to get out of stock items from the other vendors.

I finally had a good experiance with SPP this morning so I am here to talk about it. I had an early morning so when I got home at 11 I decided to give SPP a call and I talked to Keith and found out that they had everything but my Key Fob but that they have 476 of them on order. I was told that they would ship my stuff today and that they would send my Key Fob when it came in, which should be in about a week or so. Keep in mind, I ordered June 15th.

They are getting themselves together so hopefully things will be better for us all.

I got my Signature Floor Mats in less than a week! They are beautiful! I think things are coming together for them at SPP.

Those mats are the greatest ! I use those for my daily drivers..and kept the "original" ones to keep them "original " . :P :D

I had a great experience today too. I ordered some items and they will be received next week according to them. They finally have a phone system that can handle call frequency too, I noticed. If it was there before, I don't think it was turned on.

Seems like things are starting to turn around.

Great job Amy, John and Scott.

I see that the site is updating some of the pictures if items are not available.....I guess I'm waiting until the fall for the headrest.

I emailed SPP earlier this week asking when the head rest would be available and the indicated that they thought they might have them in 1-1/2 to 2 weeks

Glad to see the site getting updated with the "Expected..." flags. Good sign of some needed changes! They may be setting lower expectations on the web site but 1:1 hopeful they will arrive a little sooner.

The idea that they are perhaps under promising today, to over deliver later, would be a welcome change!

Guess what I got in the mail today. My headrests. It was a little tight getting them on. I couldn't get the Velcro to connect (wouldn't quite reach) but I just pushed the headrest down flush against the top of the seat. Looks good. Now if I can just get my Shelby GT cap.

We're goimg to Edcc on Sunday for the Lynnwood Rotary. 10:00 to 4:00. 20.00 registration fee, you really should go. Get your car on TV.

I had a great success. Last week I ordered an upper CS/6 grille (without lights) and a lower all-black SGT grille. Both items came in today just as they said they would. Thank you SPP and SAI.

I ordered both because I am going to cut up the upper grille and make a lower grille to match the CS/8 upper grille that SAI installed for me. I thought to get the black lower grille, in the event I happen to mess up making my own lower grille, I can install that and see how it looks (but mostly to protect the tranny cooler.

I suspect I'll be fine with making my own CS lower grille since someone already made one at SAI and it looks awesome. It's on the gray car in the museum. I posted pics already, plus it's in my signature under the July trip - Picasa.

As previously mentioned, SAI may likely make a lower CS grille for the SGT so when that happens, I'll order one that they made just to be legit.

Let us know how this project works out. As I said before, I'd like to get that lower grille on the museum car as well. If yours works out well, maybe I can get you to make me one too?
